This is not the place for the lactose intolerant. Cheese comes with everything here, and so does a healthy serving of hospitable service. Since it opened in 1940, El Chico Cafe has been pleasing diners with its classic Mexican combinations: tamales, enchiladas and fried beans. The chef stuffs tons of meat, cheese and beans into everything he prepares, from tacos and burritos, to delicious chimichangas.
