This restaurant is known for its Texas cuisine. Chicken-fried steak is served up here in heaping portions, as are most of the other entrees. You'll also find steaks, ribs, chicken and catfish here, as well as popular desserts such as apple and pecan pie ala mode. The majority of the seating is on a long second-story balcony that overlooks the River Walk, giving you a nice way to dine in a somewhat quiet setting without missing out on the action taking place below you.

Great food, view, and people
Hot, humid days erased at the Lone Star Cafe by never ending delicious sweet iced tea, ice cold Lone Star Beer, a great view, WONDERFUL servers, especially Rudy who was the most pleasant, efficient, and friendly person I had the pleasure meeting, and the greatest Angus burgers I ever had. We kept going back each day to eat because of the delicious food, the comfortable atmosphere, the view, and Rudy. I wish I were there right now!
