Back to Magic Castle Hotel awesome! I really enjoyed my stay at the Magic Castle hotel. My mom and I travelled to Hollywood for the first time a couple of months ago, and we had an amazing time.

We initially booked a three night stay when making the reservation. Upon arrival, the staff (again) verbally acknowledged a three night stay upon our check-in. Long story short, we were forced to leave early because the "contract" had only a two-night stay on the form and the hotel was overbooked.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 03 2007 Would definitely go back... The staff at this hotel were excellent, they are willing to go above and beyond to take care of their guests. They offered complimentary beverages and snacks each time we walked through the door. The location is so perfect for sight-seeing on Hollywood blvd. which is a couple of blocks down the street. We did not have a rental car so being able to walk to and from the sights all day was great. A couple of drawbacks are that the noise level on the street is high...and rooms are not well insulated so you can hear noisy guests returning and lots of traffic outside the windows...also the wireless internet service only works in the courtyard/pool area. The price was a little high for a standard bedroom so unfortunately we couldn't afford to stay here for our whole trip but when we return to LA we will definitely stay here again.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 11 2007 Our stay was OUTSTANDING! The Hotel is clean and the people are friendly. They give you some apple cidar bubbly in a fancy glass when you arrive. They turn down your bed at night. The rooms are clean and modern in decor. Free movies and popcorn, and snacks on demand for a small price. The service was excellent. It is only 1 block from the Theater, and shops and hotspots to explore.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 18 2007 Four Stars..NO WAY What a disappointment. Very old, out-dated and the location, yet close to a few sites, was questionable regarding saftey. Internet pics do not representthe real atmosphere.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 11 2007 excellent Excellent place. I can't say enough good things about them! The service was excellent to say the least, and everyone was honestly nice. We got lost getting to the checkin and ended up quite a bit out of the way. One of the workers saw us lost and asked us where we wanted to go and brought us to the door. The apartment style fitted us perfectly - plenty of room. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk to the chinese theatre, while being in a peaceful area itself. Felt safe the entire time (I was worried about Hollywood so that was a relief). If you want any details or comments feel free to email me. I was completely impressed with the hotel.
Reviewed by: Hassan from on Jan 02 2007 Wonderful Staff, Great Location We had a wonderful stay at the Magic Castle Hotel. It is located a block from the Chinese Theater and The Kodak Theater. The staff is excetional and would do anything in the world to help make your stay a perfect one. We were disappointed in the Magic Castle Restaurant though, we thought it was very expensive and the staff treated us like we were paupers. We decided to stay at the Magic Castle because of the good reviews and would recommend it to everyone.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 15 2006 I was impressed by the rooms The best part about this hotel is the spacious rooms. It is a former apartment building and has a kitchenette, dining area, living room, plus balcony overlooking the pool. Our carpet was dirty, but they were in the process of replacing each room while we were there.
