Back to Quality Inn Monterey Hotel Not staying there anymore We enjoyed our trip over all and the motel was in a good location, but I didn't like the motel room. It did not have a A/C, our phone didn't work to order our dinner (it's a good thing we had our cell phone) and the desk lady wasn't that pleasent.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 08 2007 Old, Poorly Remodeled, Inefficient Check in with our online reservations took about 1/2 hr, the room with a rollaway bed for our grandson (prereserved) had to requested after arriving and required the furniture already in the room to be rearranged and left no walking space on one side of the bed; heated pool was only heated by specific request to the management, pictures on the website show much nicer than the actual property. We usually use Residence Inn, Hampton Suites, Mainstay, Extended Stay or another of the hotel suites, but since they were full due to our last minute trip, we decided to try Quality Inn. The room was described as a "divided room" which only meant they had added a wall to an already small room in an inconvenient location which left the sink outside the tiny bathroom with no privacy and crammed another sink (aka "wetbar") above a tiny frig and microwave. There are stairs with no elevator, tiny parking spaces, tacky decor - disappointing old poorly remodelled with low end building supplies for the same price we usually paid for the nicer hotels. Will not consider "Quality" Inns again.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 12 2006 GREAT FIND !! We were looking for a clean room but didn't want to pay too much. This place was very clean, and the staff was friendly. Quite a bargain for a very comfortable bed, in-room coffee, as well as free breakfast. The on-site laundry was very convenient .
