I have been to this island many times over the last 20 years and this was the first time at the flamingo. I was clearly impressed. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very nice and just had been redone. The restaurant was fantastic, with some very delicous plates. The bar atmosphere was fun..I made some new friends there and the music on sat night was great. I feel like I found anohter part of Cozumel that I never knew before.

Because they have everything that you need in one place. You feel like you are at home there.
i noticed that all the reviews to this hotel are a few years old, and so, there is no more cuban live music, but i heard that they were starting a jazz night sometime soon, the night time restaurant is great! good food! good prices,the location is one of the best! the staff is great, they make you feel you are part of the island life and are very friendly, strongly recomend this place, specially for the diving crowd....

I loved this place. I stayed here twice in 2005. I had a room on the 2nd floor above the flags. The room was comfortable and had a shower and a patio with a view of the street and the water. It also had a television and a phone. The hotel is quiet at night after 11pm, so you can sleep. There is a bar at the top of the building and a patio so you can see all around the city from that vantage point. Other touristas were friendly. It is clean and a great value for the money.

This hotel is 1/2 a block from the downtown pier where you can go and take any tour you wish such as snorkeling, parasailing, and sail boat tours. The FURY CATAMARINE is a must tour. It is also 1 block town square. The hotel is a clean hotel adn has a wonderfull bar down stairs it is also a little clib spot for people at night. They have great food adn a pool table on the second story. I love this hotel because it is worth my money it is not a run down 2 star hotel. In my opinion it is a 2 star class because it does not have that much such as all exclusive hotels do, but its cleaniness is great. The food is good priced and It has a top story of the hotle where you can chill and relax. I went in may 2006 and plan to go back to stay in dec 2006.

We booked this hotel through a travel site. When we checked in we were tired and ready for bed. It turns out most of the rooms are within open earshot of the bar. There was loud music playing until 11:30 even though the hotel policy was quiet hours after 10. The music was so loud that I couldn't hear the TV in our room even though it was cranked. The toilet plugged on the first use. When we complained to the manager he seemed nice and said we could check out the next day and he would only charge us for one day. We worked this out with the travel site which said this was OK and we didn't need anything from the manager. They said they would get a fax from him. It took a month of pestering for the travel site to finally squeeze the fax out of the hotel manager. We found a much better hotel for the rest of the trip that only cost about $10 more and it was on the beach! There are much better places to stay than this, don't waste your money.

Disappointing, Dishonest and Dismal. Do not stay here unless you only want a dirty room and cold shower. Staff provided limited assistance and did not care that we left after only two nights out of a seven night reservation. There is no rooftop cafe or Internet for public use.

I've stayed at the Flamingo twice so far and both times were just fine. I scuba dive so I take last minute Vacations sometimes (you know when airfare dips to that I gotta go feeling). Not far from the launch pier.

I recently stayed at the flamingo and was presently surprised. It had been over 8 years since I had stayed there last and I was amazed with all of the changes to the property. A new owner has taken over and improved all the rooms and it now has a bar and a full restaurant. The food was excellent with the mango shrimp being my favorite. The service was top notch and the staff was very friendly. They also had internet service available and laundry service which was nice. It is downtown on a quiet street near the waterfront. I understand from the management that they are in the process of upgrading the rooms more to a 3 or 4 star rating and that a pool will be going in later in the year. I was very happy overall with the stay.
