Reviewed by: Shantil from on May 23 2009 Not yet, maybe another time We are reasonably close to Jackson and were looking for a one night get away for the wife's birthday. She looked at the web site and booked one saturday night. We checked in and found the lobby was excellent but that's where it ended. The remainder of the place in under renovation. The rooms remind me of the old motor inns of years gone by. Paint was peeling on our door, walls seemed paper thin because we could hear the guys having a great time next door. I went to the lobby and checked out immediately. Staff seemed to be understanding. We may try it again once the renovations are complete.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 18 2009 My immediate needs were met This is an old hotel, which has a lot of old beauty in it. However, it is not updated with new curtains and carpet. Yet, it is pet friendly, which is what I needed. We were delighted to see milk bones on the registration desk. Many guests had their pets as over a million people had to evacuate southeast louisiana. The service was excellent. Our needs were met. The hotel was just purchased by new owners who are planning to renovate.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 08 2008 This hotel should be torn down I disliked the room commodation it were old and dirty. The drapers were old and hanging off the hooks. The carpet on the floor was awful. Our church convention were using this hotel as an overflow in 2007 and the members complained everyday about the lack of a/c and the smell of the hotel. We complained to the helpers at the front desk but their responsed were, "we will let our manager know about your concerns." Our members never received a response as of 2008.
Reviewed by: Jessica from on Aug 05 2008 There is no way I will ever spend the nigh in this hotel I dislike the hotel as a whole. It was not well kept, it had rust spots, the air conditioning would could not be turned down. The swimming pool awful. You had to go 3 floors to get ice. The towels took an hour to arrive. The location was good and the car garage.

Many travelers had to open their doors to receive cool air. When I called down to the lobby to complain about heat coming from the air unit I was told just to cut it off because it would be cool tonight.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 19 2008 i will never stay there again firts we were placed in the wrong room next the air wouldnt work next paint coming off the ceiling in bathroom shower and found a live roach in the elevator i will never be back there.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 14 2008 very nice I've only stayed there once, but the stay was very nice. The lobby has that ole' skool feel to it. I didn't go into the restaurant, but my friends said that the food was good. My room was nice, the only thing is, i wished it had refrigerator like i requested, but other than that, very, very nice. i will stay there again. The only thing unpleasant about my stay was the fact that it was in the middle of july, and it was boiling hot outside. LOL.
Reviewed by: Robert from on Jan 19 2008 Miserable I drove 8 hours, and very excited to be in Jackson for a JSU football homecoming game. My night was so miserable and cold that I did not rest well. The floors were filthy. The room as a whole was a dirty mess. So instead of staying 2 nights as planned, I stayed one. The lady at the front desk was very nice, she even apologized for the hotel. Never again will I stay there. Later I found out there were inside rooms. Now, I am wondering why I did not get an inside room. Makes you wonder.
