We had a delightful 9-day stay at The Garden Island Inn. The location was perfect - close to the airport, shopping and restaurants. The folks at the hotel were just wonderful and did everything they could do to make our stay the best. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kauai! The only drawback is the street noise, but if you have the air conditioning on, the noise is not a factor. The gardens and the coy pond are beautiful.

We have stayed twice at this inn, and will return there on our next visit. It is only 5 minutes from the airport, and is surrounded by beautiful flowers. The rooms are very large and very clean. Staff is eager to assist you in whatever you wish to do on the island. Traffic can be noisy at times, but a/c will drown this out.

I recently stayed in one of the non-air conditioned units at this motel, and it really wasn't bad for mid-July. The TV, refrigerator, and microwave worked ok. The bed was fairly comfortable, but I've had better. The bathroom was ok too, but again, I've seen better. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are this outfit's best asset. The location is also convenient to the beach and shopping. The price is fair. This place isn't luxurious, but I'd probably stay here again, though I might consider an air-conditioned unit next time.
