Back to Best Western Sunset Plaza Beautiful Pool Courtyard! Breakfast Poolside! We have stayed here every years since 2000. We Love It! For the money, you can't beat it. Hotels next door are $350.00 to $500.00 a night. It was getting run down, BUT! It is now REMODELED! The pool area is beautiful, and if you can get a room with a walkout to the pool, you are on top of the world! 10 minute drive to most attractions in Hollywood, Santa Monica Blvd, Melrose, Farmers Market, Beverly Hills, Mulholland. You can walk down the Strip day or night. See the bars and clubs on foot! take a walk on the wild side at "The Cat Club" next to the "Whiskey!"

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 28 2009 We will never go back! We had stayed there many times before without incident. Imagine our horror with being bit by bed bugs and then again when the staff decided to lie and say they were not there after moving us to another room. They have bed bugs and we have proof and we do not want this to happen to ANYONE ANYWHERE but while paying this price and having been bit twice (so to speak), we are not happy with their service nor their response to us. Not worth the bed bug bites. We have filed with the BBB and even then, they did not respond to us. Please note that all BEST WESTERNS are independantly owned and operated. Complaining to the main company does not help. They need an overhaul of this process.
Reviewed by: Yahoo Member from on Jan 19 2009 Our Favorite Hotel We absolutely love this hotel and won't stay anywhere else when we're in LA/Hollywood. First of all, the hotel is small and charming and pretty, which is a nice counterpoint to the city itself! The pool is surrounded by bouganvillea and palms and you feel you are in France. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean and quiet. We found the front desk staff to be very accomodating of requests for upgrades to poolside or junior suites if they're available. The hotel is ideally located in the upscale part of the strip within walking distance of the House of Blues and several restaurants, and it's a short drive to the Pantages and Grauman Theaters and the mall.
Reviewed by: Californiagirl from on Nov 11 2008 worst customer service ever there was nothing that i liked about this hotel. The man at the front desk was SO incredibly rude. We were in town for a birthday and the attitude of the staff completely ruined our time. After confronting them over the situation i was offered nothing in return. No upgrade, not ever an apology, nothing. I would absolutely never come back to this hotel if it was the last hotel in los angeles. Please, do not give a place like this your buisness!!!!
Reviewed by: Nora A from on Sep 18 2008 Old world charm A beautiful old hotel. While our room faced the building next door an attempt had been made to camouflage the concrete wall. Ask for a pool side room. The decor is elegant without being overdone. Room is large and comfortable with a desk. Great bedding. Across the street is a great restaurant and a Starbucks. Front desk staff are professional, but not overly friendly.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 27 2008 Was a decent place to stay, definately not worth the money though The hotel was located on the nicer part of Sunset strip. Is a beautiful hotel, but the rooms are very small and wasnt worth the money.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 21 2008 Great and Quiet The hotel is quiet and central to food, and other stuff. If you like walking, it is great for that also. You can walk to the pharmacy, The House of Blues, food places, stores and just a short cab ride to the mall.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 12 2008 Great staff!! We stayed for 3 nights. The first room we were in, the a/c did not work properly. We told the front desk first thing in the morning, and they said no problem, they would move us to another room. When we returned, we had an upgrade to a suite! The suite was beautiful! It had a little kichette, 2 rooms, and a big whirlpool tub.
