Back to Dream New York Anniversary Trip to NYC My wife and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary in NYC back in September. In the past we have stayed at the Sheraton New York. We thought it would be fun to try a new hotel something with a little differnet feel then the everyday hotel. Aftering reading reviews on some travel websites, I was little nervous that our choice might have been a mistake but Dream was perfect. Check in was fast and the staff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were small put just right for a weekend getaway. I would defiantly stay here the next time I am in the City for work or for fun.
Reviewed by: ragzz from on Jun 13 2008 What a terrible week We were in New York City for Christmas this year and stayed at the Dream Hotel in Manhattan. The location was nice, between Time Square and Central Park. But, the room was cramped, we had a deluxe room, but I did not see anything 'deluxe' except it was a bit bigger than the regular room. There was walking space around the bed but that was all. No drawers to put your clothes in and that was bad since we were there for 7 days. The bathtub had mold growing around the tub and down the tile where the bath water ran. The one window overlooked the other hotel room on the other side. One of the elevators did not work, the only one that we were able to use was a mini elevator and it was very clostraphobic. Employees were not friendly or helpful, but maybe that is just New York. I would not recommend staying there, it was dark, moldy and small.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 29 2007 dream indeed I absolutely loved this hotel, from the moment i saw it in a brouchure i would have picked it but never thought i be able pick my dream hotel! literally. I travelled to new york in april last year with my partner and after finding a great deal on the hotels website i got it. The view from the rooftop hotel left all of my sleepiness in the hotel after seeing the lights of times square i had to go.

Reviewed by: Daniel L from on Jun 28 2006 watch out for the con artists They prmised the "stay 4 nights, 5th night free" online and then conveniently 'forget about it' when you check out, unless you explicitly ask them. Then they double-charged my credit card (one for the promotional price and another one for the full price).
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 16 2006 Great gift idea I sent my parents to this hotel for their 30th wedding anniversiry. They loved it! It was very elegant. They had a problem with the plasma tv in the room, and the hotel offered to move them into a new room! Great service. They had a wonderful time.
Reviewed by: Christina from on Sep 16 2005 Like a W This hotel has style and cool and comfortable rooms. It's also in a great location, near Columbus Circle and within walking distance to the theatres in the Times Square Area (yet far enough away from the crowds). What it doesn't have is a restaurant with good service. Go across Broadway to the diner on the corner for a reasonably priced breakfast served by someone who cares.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 20 2005 Nightmare! There was nothing to dream about at this hotel. The staff was rude, the website was dishonest and the rooms were so small. We were promised and paid for a medium sized room, but apparently any room is a medium as long as they can fit a queen size bed in the room. The actual living space was equivalent to a small sized room. It was not worth the price--I would rather pay a little bit more and actually be able to move around in my hotel room without continually banging my legs against the bed! There was no sitting space either. The bathroom did not include a tub--there was only a shower! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 21 2005 Rude Staff!! False advertising They advertise a medium room as 235 sq ft, 42" plasma tv, and queen bed. Once you are there you could get a 185 sq ft room, 37" tv and that is considered a "medium" room as long as there is a queen bed. That is what happened to us. VERY SMALL room, Rude front desk people!! Very poor service and amateur appearing remodeling. It is relatively cheaper but you get what you pay for. I absolutely would not stay there. I cancelled my last 4 of 5 nights because it was intolerable. They should not advertise what they do not provide. It is also a very small hotel (12 floors) so no view is possible.
