MILTIARY RATE HIGHER THAN the BEST RATE
The suite was spacest and clean. The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to many areas on our list to see. From other Holiday Inns this is over priced to me. Our second day cleaning staff left cleaning cloth in bath tub, no cups, coffee or tea was replaced. The information machine in lobby gave us rates to the Brookyn Zoo as $6.00 but when we got to the zoo they said they couldn't remember when the rates were that low. We received wrong info from desk staff on directions to the L. The resturant was extremely slow and waitress spilt orange juice on table. Never came back to clean it up even when we ask her too. I would stay again because of it being close to everything, but I wouldn't use the resturant nor rely strickly on directions from front desk. I would recommend to others but would furnish above info also. It also cost us $30 day to park at the hotel, but I think that might be standard across town.

good ... but ...
Very friendly staff, but forgot something at the hotel and they promised to send it to me. Had to call them twice, still nothing! I believe someone at the hotel is using my item. Not happy about this!!

Friendily Staff
This hotel has the most friendily staff. I work in customer service and knowaday it is rare to stay in a hotel thats so accomadating. For families and business travellers alike this place will make you fill like it's your home away from home.

Good clean room But
I setup Housing reservations 3 months ahead of time I paid for my room infull only to find out I had been moved to another Holiday Inn they sent my Check back and ask me to send them another check so I did the day before I called only to find out they had put me back in the hotel I started with but for $139.00 a night. That was ok with me beens it started out it $160.41 a night. But when I got there they wanted $98.10 more or they would not give me my room.I don't think that was right and if any body can help I need to know who I need to see to get some of my money back. Thanks Terry

Home away from Home
Very friendly staff. I have used this location for personal and business reasons. I planned several advisory committees with State workers here and they always preferred the location and service. I continue to use it because the food and service is good and the rooms are simple and clean and not too small.

Better than you think!
Took a chance on this place cuz we like Holiday Inns. It is not right downtown, but it was really easy to get to everything. The staff are really friendly, great people...helped us out big time. Pizza Restaurant in hotel is really good-thin crust pizza (aurelios?) We are from Chicago and were getting away to see some downtown action...easy to get there Clinton Stop (Blue LIne), near Untion Station too (Metra). canal st exit off 290. They have a roof top pool which was fun and workout facility. Great for a nice getaway to downtown! Had a blast, would go back for sure.

we want to stay there again
It was our first time visiting Chicago so we looked for a place right away. Since we are accustomed staying at Holiday Inn, we know what to look for. There's the pool which my kids love and the comfotable beds. The room smells good, washrooms are clean and the coffee is right there for us to make. A great place to stay.

We will definietly go back!!
It was very easy to find and was within walking distance of a lot of the sights. The free trolley was was right across from the Sears Tower which was only a couple of blocks. Restaurant in the hotel was very good and reasonable. There are resaurants and bakeries in the area also. It is also only 4 blocks from UIC (University of Il. of Chicago) which is nice as we had to pick up our daughter from the college. Helps to sign up for the Holiday members club. It is free and saves you $6.00 on parking at the hotel. Can't wait to go back again and spend more time there!
