Back to Pacific Marina Inn What a Huge Mistake! first the location is in the industrial area surrounded by shady bars & people I dont wish to make eye contact with, kinda ghetto. at night guest come back at all hours with no consideration. carrying on conversations as if it was a playground in the afternoon. I assume theres no security I could be wrong but it sure seemed like it. Would not recomend , no WARNING!!! if you are traveling with family DO NOT STAY HERE!!! unless your way of income is illegal.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 28 2009 You do not want to stay here...ever. The neighborhood made us fear for our lives as there is a homeless colony camped in the park. The small room was overpriced and in no way resembled the picture on the website. We can say that the pool area was nice.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 28 2007 I wouldn't stay here The hotel was barely adequate. The employees were nice enough, but the room was not. The room was very small and the pictures on the hotel's website are not an accurate representation of the condition of the room. There were no amenities and no extras, not even a bath tub. The furniture was old and beat-up, and the sheets were stained. While the hotel is near the airport, it is not located in a nice area of Honolulu, and I did not feel safe while staying there. I wish that I would have paid a little more to stay somewhere else. I would not recommend this hotel, not even for just a place to crash.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 17 2006 Only because of convenience Certainly not what I prefer, but after a long flight from the mainland we needed a place close to the airport to catch a few hours sleep before flying to the Big Island early the next morning. Outward appearance was questionable, as was the interior at first glance. But the bed and bathroom were clean. The employees were pleasant. We had a great breakfast at the restaurant that is connected to the motel--the waitress was very nice. Since it had an airport shuttle, we didn't have to rent a car there. I would really have been upset if I had paid more the the Priceline rate I bid on and received. Our room was on the 2nd floor; I didn't hear much after going to sleep; my husband, who is a lighter sleeper than I am, heard people outside most of the night. For our particular situation it was acceptable.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 25 2005 I'm sure there is something better The Inn is located between a highway (Nimitz, traffic, sirens, etc.) and a seaplane (they seem to be louder than normal airplanes) landing strip. We had to keep the air conditioner on at night to drown out the noise. What didn't help was the 11/2 in. gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.
