Luxurious Relaxation during Stressful Move
I was moving from New York City to Miami. It turned out the most economical way to do it was for my boyfriend to fly up and then for us to rent a truck and drive down to Florida. Since I'd always wanted to visit Savannah, that seemed like the best half-way point for us to rest for the night during our drive. I started researching a few properties by looking on Google maps and a few travel websites. Because of the added restriction of needing to park a large moving truck, it was rather difficult to find a property able to accommodate us, even though it was only for one night. When I called Azalea Inn, I spoke directly with one of the owners, Teresa, and she was so helpful and assured me that the truck would be safely parked in their on-site parking lot (which turned out to be visible from our balcony, perfect if we had wanted to check on it during the night). Teresa told me about the different rooms they had available for the night we would be there and I chose the least expensive one (it didn't have a garden view, but a balcony and a jacuzzi tub). She told me a full homemade southern-style breakfast was included in the price and I was sold. I informed her we might be arriving late as we had a long drive planned for that day and she said she'd make a note of it and provide us directions for getting into the after-hours key box. As it was, someone was still there when we arrived. She was very helpful and gave us the full tour and then showed us to our room. We were so exhausted from loading the truck all day the day before and then driving all day that we headed to the closest restaurant (located on the corner) for a quick dinner, then came back to bed. I was looking forward to a bath in the jacuzzi but it turned out to be much louder and more forceful than i had expected so we begged off in favor of showers and then climbed wearily into bed. The robes provided were luxurious, as were the sheets and all of the pillows. The complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch too. Breakfast was scrumptious - served by Teresa and an assistant in the main dining room with a good portion of the guests present. Everything was delicious, from the homemade biscuits with warm maple butter to the poached pear to the quiche. After breakfast we took a stroll to explore some of historic Savannah. We passed by several shops, a couple quaint parks, many elaborate houses similar to the one Azalea Inn occupies as well as the Savannah College of Art & Design & the park that was featured in the film "Midnight In The Garden of Good & Evil". Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend anyone else visiting the Savannah area to stay there. I only wish we had been able to stay longer and lounge out by the pool in the garden.

Highly Recommended
My husband and I recently stayed at the Azalea Inn and we LOVED it. The grounds and the Inn itself were gorgeous! I must say though, that our favorite part of our stay was the Owners' sweet little dog, Joey. I threatened to take him home with me! All of the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. They have wonderful ideas of places to go during your stay in Savannah and will be more than happy to make your reservations and provide a map showing how to get there. I would recommend the Azalea Inn to anyone visiting Savannah and would definitely stay there again.

1st Anniversary
decided to surprise my husband and I booked a trip at the Azalea Inn for our 1st Anniversary. Teresa and her staff not only took care of the arrangements at Azalea Inn but also made reservations for us at 3 restaurants and booked us two tours. I did not have to contact anyone but them and it was so easy! I knew Azalea was going to be beautiful because I had seen the pictures but the real thing is even more beautiful! We stayed in Sweet Olive which is on the 1st floor and it is right at the pool with the beautiful gardens surrounding it. The food and wine was wonderful and all the guests that were there were very friendly. My husband and I will definitely be back to Savannah and when we decide to come back, Azalea Inn will be the first place I call. Thanks Azalea Inn for making our 1st Anniversary unforgettable!
