Back to Comfort Inn Kensington not so comfortable! This hotel was awful. I would definitely not choose to stay here again. The location was good but the hotel itself was very basic. The room & furnishings stank of stale smoke we had to go out & buy air freshener! I could still smell stale smoke on my clothes by the time I got home. The decor was shabby & in need of some updating.

Reviewed by: MichaelA from on Sep 28 2006 My first time to London This hotel is good for what it is, meaning its good for sleeping, showering, and using the toilet. That is it!!!! If you don't like spending any time in your hotel room then I would reccomend this to you, but if not then please search elsewhere. The few really good things about the hotel is that it is right near Earl's Court tube station, and it is also near an internet cafe, as well as, a food market, and a place a bunch of other places to shop for little day-to day things. The continental breakfast is terrible and they happen to set it out right next to the breakfast buffet, which happens to cost £5 a day. Staff are very friendly though. I had a problem getting new towels from the cleaning service though, and the ceiling in the bathroom leaked a little bit.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 03 2005 Not Luxe, But Not Prison The previous review mentions small rooms, and that is true. We were in a triple and two of the beds were abutting, so it was difficult to get into the one on the wall. The TV was also tiny, and seemed smaller yet since it sat on a shelf near the ceiling.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 09 2005 Don't stay here We, my wife and two children (12 and 16) have been to London several times. We would not even spend one night here. Very small rooms, even by European standards. For example, the bathroom door would not open all the way because it hit the end of the bed. There was a desk, but you could not sit at it because it was less than a foot from the side of the bed. To sit in the desk chair would have required you to move the bed and I am not sure there enough room to move the bed that far. There were stains on the wallpaper and carpet. There were mildew stains on the bathtub. Other reviews have endorsed the location. That is nonsense. Nearly every hotel in or near central London is near a tube stop. I thought the Earl's Court area was dirty, shabby and noisy. This may be the place for students and young couples, but not for families. There are many, many, many better options than this place.
