Back to Doubletree Inn at the Colonnade Too old!! My fiance and I recently stayed at the Inn at the Colonnade for a romantic weekend getaway. We wanted something special, so we chose the African Safari room. What a joke!! The King "regular" room with a balcony was better than the themed room. This hotel is clean, but needs to renovating because it's old. It doesn't have anything modern. I would NOT stay here again.

The Doubletree I stayed in across from the JHU lacrosse stadium (NOT the baseball field) featured a suite with torn curtains and dated decor (including bedding circa 1990).

It is centrally located in Baltimore, across the street from John's Hopkins University. We walked into the reception area, to be presented with a beautiful grand piano, and spacious sitting area with grandeur decorations. As we checked in, we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies, and sent to our room. The room was spacious and nice, containing two double beds, a tv, and a mini kitchen equipt with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There was a two room bathroom, equipt with a warming lamp for the shower. THe rooms were extremely clean and pristine. Our room had a nice view of a courtyard, and you could see The John's Hopkins University baseball field across the street.
