Just say No
I booked 6 nights for a romantic November '09 trip 4/28/09. Trip was paid for and confirmed. On 6/28/09 I was informed that the Lazy Parrot had cancelled my reservation. It took some doing but I finally found out they cancelled me to allow a wedding party to book the entire resort. Money talks....customer service walks...I've never been treated like that at any resort/hotel....CB

I'll be visiting again soon
This is a little hidden inn in the side of the mountain, very quite, tranquil place. The landscaping is beautiful and they even have 2 little parakeets to talk to every morning on the way to breakfast. Breakfast was simple and good.

Great Hotel & Will be back!!!
We loved the place so much we came back after checking out!!! Our room was very clean and we didn't take a lot of luggage so walking around the property with our bags was no issue. If you are looking for a '5 star resort' not sure if PR has that. But if you are looking for comfort and Island charm...... Lazy Parrot all the way!!!!

Loved IT!!!
We stumppled upon the Lazy Parrot from a flyer at a local bakery. We were LUCKY!!! The staff was friendly, the continental breakfast was fabulous, the rooms clean and comfortable. We watched the superbowl on the big screen by the pool. I just can't say we didn't like anything!!!

first of all the hotel was no where near the airport. we traveled distant to the hotel by the time i got there i was tired and the only thing i wanted was to take a shower then go to bed. no one was there to greet us. no one was in site. the key was left on a bullentin board with our name on it. the room was so tiny. it had two full sizes bed and a nightstand between it. and the bathroom. nothing in the refrigertor. no welcome mat for us.

Best place to stay in Rincon...
...even though it is not on the water. Try the bakery next door for breakfast and coffee around the other corner.

okay
We found the Lazy Parrot via an internet search. We contacted the receptionist who assured us that we would be pleasantly surprised with our balcony view and room. We decided to book the room for a 5 day stay during the Easter vacation. One of the first things that I noticed about the Lazy Parrot is that once you get there you need to park across the street from the actual Inn. We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs through a restaurant and down several flights of stairs to get to the check in. Once we checked in we had to carry our luggage back up several flights of stairs through the restaurant and up another flight of stairs. If you have difficulty going up and down stairs this is not the place for you. Our balcony view was nothing special but our room was very clean and well maintained. During our stay there we met with the owners who where there daily and seemed like very nice people. My family and I spent a lot of time by the pool which was great and had drinks and food from the Rum Shack. The food and drinks at the Rum Shack and Smilin Joe were great however I’m not too sure of the math that they were using at the Rum Shack. It seems that several times our bill was padded and we ended up paying more than what we should have. Overall the Lazy Parrot is not a bad place to stay at. Would I go back? Probably not.

Pleasant Surprise !
Don't hesitate to book here. I just returned from a relaxing week at this small but great hotel. The rooms are more than efficient and cleaned acceptably daily. Very quiet with few children. The staff was exceptionally helpful...right down to retrieving a replacement key to a lost one for the rental car. Thank you Nancy! Jabby

We have re-booked another visit
As always the Lazy Parrot was everything we were looking for in a small family run Inn.The Staff is friendly and helpful, the property is clean and well maintained. The rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant, pool and location are excellent. If you enjoy small intimate settings this is the place for you. They are family friendly and my boys (l2 & 8) had a great time.

The Marcano Report: Lazy Parrot
I usually don't pay attention to the 5 star reviews, because they usually sound like they were written by the owners of the place. I can say that the "Mini resort / Budget traveler review was dead on. The place IS great.
