never again
Blood stains on mattress pad!, the worst breakfast ever, the deck up top has had nothing done to it, just a roof. Don't waist your $

Great place to stay
Great location. I came in from Indianapolis and stayed the weekend. Carrie (the host) was very cheerful and most helpful. Would stay here again and would suggest to anyone to stay here. Again great place to stay.

Definitely Recommend!
Excellent location, Excellent service; The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly. Very close to shops and directly across the street from the water taxi. I would most definitely stay here again.

Celie's was a great place to stay. the location is paramount! They even have a decent cheese steak place near by (I'm from south philly, so that's important!), the inner harbor is packed with things to see and stuff to do. fell's point is a lovely, quaint little place to stay. make sure you eat dinner at "du claw" - it's the local micro brew, with some quality food and drink on the menu.

Great getaway, terrific location
We were looking for a small boutique hotel/inn in the heart of Fell's Point and Celie's did not disappoint. The room was clean and spacious with a wood burning fireplace, small fridge and nice amenities (robes, hairdryer, toiletries). The rooftop deck has a great view of the harbor and is the perfect place for a glass of wine at the end of the day. The innkeeper was quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast although continental was quite good (scones, breads, fruit, coffee) - more of a breakfast you would find at a small boutique hotel as opposed to a full breakfast one might expect form a B&B. The location is perfect for access to all of the restaurants and bars in Fell's Point.

Lots of Character!
Celie's was great! I spent one night there during the week and just loved it. My room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The desk attendant carried my bags from my car to my room and gave me a tour as soon as I arrived. The continental breakfast was very nice - cereal, breads, danish, fruit, coffee, juice - and the dining room opens onto a nice little patio. In terms of price, this was a great deal. Even with the $7 parking charge, this place was much less expensive than nearby hotels. When I left, they wrote out directions to my next stop in Virginia - and their directions were far better than Mapquest. Staying at Celie's was a real little vacation. Even though it is in Fell's Point and doors away from a bar, I felt pretty safe. Late at night, I wouldn't have ventured out alone, as there were a lot of people at the nearby bars. But what can you expect? If you stay in Fell's Point, you are going to be near some nightlife. While inside, however, I didn't hear a sound. In fact, I slept like a baby in a beautiful four-poster bed with VERY nice bedding (and seriously nice high thread-count sheets). The bathroom looked like something out of Restoration Hardware, and they even had a minifridge, free wifi and Satellite TV. I was very happy with Celie's and would definitely come back again. Drawbacks: parking is about a block or so away, and the place is a bit hard to find from the street (the facade is very small). Still, this is nothing compared to all the good things about Celie's.

Would not stay again
We stayed 5/2007 one night for the huge price of $245 (not sure what we were thinking). No one to let us in and no one available by phone - very disconcerting as we were there during "office hours" . Place is clean and well appointed however the air conditioner sounds like an airplane engine so we had to turn it off and open the doors (thankfully it was a cool spring evening). The most disappointing part of the stay was breakfast which was continental and totally uninspiring - totally. You would think for that price you would actually get breakfast and things would be fresh and homemade.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
Actual conditions resemble nothing for the reality view. Dingy walk leads to rooms much darker than web view. Initially could not find anyone to let me in. Garden view deck overlooks absolutely nothing. Stayed 6/2005. Received e-mail sometime later they thought I had accidently taken room key home. As I had checked out and had to turn key in at that point, thought nothing else of it. Today, noticed they had taken, unauthorized mind you, $35 from my debit account. Presume they felt I was a culprit and ok to take my money without permission. I'll be contacting my bank to see what I can do. BEWARE!!
