Back to Nob Hill Hotel Poor service Small rooms. A lot of noise because of the nearby hospital.
Reviewed by: Gaƫl from on Sep 16 2008 Romantic and elegant We loved the victorian decor and the old San Francisco feeling the hotel had. We received an upgrade into the Penthouse from a King Deluxe. That made our one night get-a-way even more special. Everything in the room was beautiful from the decor to the views. We will definatly go back.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 26 2007 Love this hotel! I went there for the first time by myself as a little gift to myself and fell in love with it. I then took my daughter back with me and she also fell in love! We are making this hotel our tradition for a girl's get away. I just love everything about it!
Reviewed by: Michelle from on Jul 08 2007 Will definitely return I stayed in this hotel on 8-17-06. I was upgraded to a "suite" which included a small sitting room, bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom included a marble shower and pedestal sink. There was a nice Victorian bed with a high head board. There was also a small alcove in the bedroom which had a jacuzzi (I didn't use the tub, but it was a nice touch). The staff were friendly. There was a very nice free wine tasting late in the afternoon, and the continental breakfast included bagels, sweet rolls and breads and excellent coffee. Some other guests complained that their room was too small, but I found the whole experience to be perfect. They have an arrangement with a parking lot around the corner, which was only 20 dollars for overnight. I would definitely recommend giving this hotel a try.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 21 2006 very unfriendly management- stay away I initially booked for 3 nights based on the review I had read in a travel guide. I checked out after the first night because the 2-beds room was to small and stuffy for our party of 5( 2 adults and 3 children). Surprisingly, i had to sign a form upon check-in stating that a 50 $ cancellation fee would be paid in case of early check-out. I tried to negotiate that fee upon check-out on the basis that i wasn't aware of the size of the room upon booking. The General manager was very unfriendly about the matter, challenging my version and kept referring me to the front desk. For him, the room I was in, was for 4 persons maximum. So i had cheated my way in. The front desk acknowlged we were five, ( they saw me check-in) but told me I had accepted the conditions and had signed the form about the cancellation fee. I don't appreciate the management's attitude.I don't recommend the place.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 30 2006 Quintessential Victorian San Francisco We loved the the whole place, our room, the public areas, the hallways. Our room was beautifully furnished and except for some street noise, quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the relatively small size of the room did not bother us; because unlke some other people we understand what is meant by a "boutique" type of hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates ambience over luxury and large room size.
Reviewed by: PeterT from on Feb 28 2006 Loved everything about it!! Everything about this place was GREAT!! When we first checked in, we were told that the room that had been reserved for us would not really be large enough to accommodate us...and were immediately upgraded to a larger room, no questions asked. The service continued to be first class throughout our stay. The hotel itself is a charming Victorian building with an incredible garden...the atmosphere made me feel like I was on a European vacation! The location was awesome...close to so many landmarks and also the trolley line. I can't wait to go back!!

The hotel is situated in an area where we were able to go everywhere without having to get a cab. The room was comfortable and very clean. All of our friends have had great experiences staying at this hotel.
