Back to Villa Montaña Resort I MISS VILLA MONTANA ! I seriously miss this place so much, even though our stay was only a short weekend trip from miami, ive never been happier. The staff was great (cleaning ladies didnt speak english very well, although we were able to communicate fine, and the rest of the staff knows perfect english). The facilites were kept extremely clean and somehow whenever we left for breakfast/ beach, we would come back to clean villa- they never disturbed us, in fact we never even saw them! we would just come back to an impecable room, ready to relax, im telling you this was like styaing in your dream paradise. Puerto Rico is naturally beautiful, you will really enjoy your stay here guaranteed!
Reviewed by: Jessica from on Oct 26 2009 We will be coming back PROS: landscapes were very well taken care of, beach was beautiful and clean, rooms were spaceous and everything was working in good conditions, staff was very friendly. Food was the best weve had so far in PR
Reviewed by: Jason from on Sep 19 2009 More than we expected! My sister and i stayed at this wonderful resort just two weeks ago. Theres really nothing to complain about, we had no idea we would be stepping into paradise! Isabella itself is so breathtaking, the beaches are so beautiful its hard to explain, and the hotel did a great job at preserving the wonderful nature. Full or lush green gardens, sand and miles of beach this resort really hit the spot. There are two restaurants, we ate mostly at the Eclipse restaurant in front of the beach, food was excellent, a little pricey but really amazing, service was good and staff very friendly. Come to this hotel if you want to really GET AWAY, this place is like its own little world with little steps and little roads between each of the villas, you certainly feel special and secluded. Total hidden paradise.
Reviewed by: Vanessa from on Sep 17 2009 Loved this place Just came back from this resort and cant wait to go back. Service was a little slow at checkout but apart from that we definitely got more than we paid for, the place was gorgeous, the views were amazing and the palce was very private, the food and service at the restaurant were great too. Really the worse part was having to leave back to noisy/crowded NYC.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 14 2009 My secret get-away... I took a vacation to see some distant family members and stayed at this hotel. It was peaceful, beautiful, amazing, and not what I would've expected. Isbella is a a off center place with so much beauty to offer though not for people with no spanish speaking abilities or little experience with the island, it can be extremely unfamilar to someone that's never visited.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 26 2009 Peace and Quiet and Beautiful Scenery!!! We (me, my husband and two college age kids) LOVED this place. No crowds, nice villa, beautiful grounds, beautiful view of the ocean from our front porch, fun activities close by (Discover Scuba with Aquatica and horse back riding on the beach with Tropical Trail Rides). The staff was friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. Local restaurants are good, as well as the lovely on-site, open-air restaurant (Eclipse). The resort was not very full when we were there (early December), which was perfect for us. The only thing we didn't like was leaving!
Reviewed by: Patricia from on Dec 20 2008 Garden of Eden in Puerto Rico I was startled when I read some of the negative reviews of Villa Montana Beach Resort. We have been spending vacations at Villa Montana for years and it just sounds like a different place to me. It first started out as a one week vacation and each year we stay longer. We have stayed in other resorts in Puerto Rico and travel around the island quite a bit but we never have an experience as pleasant as when we stay at Villa Montana. In fact, my husband now is refusing to stay anywhere else when we choose a Puerto Rico vacation. He does not like the east coast because it is so crowded and loud and the west coast does not have any resorts up to par on the service and quality we like.
Reviewed by: Kim from on May 01 2008 Vacationer Beware!! My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa Montana in Aguadilla for a week in March and it was horrible. We are both avid travelers and have gone to many Caribbean destinations and this was by far the worst. We never felt welcomed anywhere. The staff are disrespectful and rude. Nothing is more unattractive than sitting on a beach and seeing locals throwing beer bottles into the ocean. They take no pride in their island and they treat tourists with disgust. Service at the Eclipse restaurant is so slow and the food is overpriced. I shouldn’t have to go on a Caribbean vacation and have to hunt down the bartender to get another drink, a bill or even water. There is no island atmosphere here. We couldn’t wait to pack to go home. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 22 2008 Relaxing Vacation This is a great resort if you are looking to get away from the crowds. The resort is very quiet and peaceful. There were less then 20 people on the beach when I was there in March. It is definitely a surfing area!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 13 2008 Best family vacation Villa Montana Beach resort is a dream come true vacation location. We travel with our three kids and so we have to find a place where there is lots to do and where we can have a villa so that we can cook our own food and spread out. We found Villa Montana on the web because we had never been to Puerto Rico – honestly I did not think I would like it with all the night life and crowds. But Villa Montana is on the west coast, away from the crowds and easy to get to with Aguadilla Airport literally 15 minutes from the resort.
