Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 20 2008 trickery i love this area of negril and was really excited and rang this hotel direct to specifically book beachfront rooms as in our party of 8 there is a couple in their late 80s one of whom is waiting for a hip replacement a baby and a disabled person so staying across the busy main road from the beach would make life very awkward indeded after many emials and phonecalls they gave me a price for the beachside rooms which they said i would be guarenteed to have...otherwise i would have booked elsewhere charged my credit card for almost 2000 gbpounds and then decided to email me saying we would actually just get put in whatever rooms are available at the time AFTER CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD i have emailed them my response to that and i am awaiting a reply.it is disgusting to be tricked and conned like that and the uk agents sunset and thomas cook promote this hotel ..probably not for much longer if this is the way they conduct themselves.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 16 2007 Loved it!!!! This was our first time in Jamaica. We loved our stay at the Legends. From the time we arrived we were greeted with profesionalism. My daugter(Brianna)loved Ms. Yvonne and the rest of the ladies in the restaurant and the security guards. We were welcomed and felt at home. Thanks a million!!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 29 2007 Please don't stay here This hotel is not as it seems in the internet pictures. My friends were robbed the first night they were there (the person came into their room while they were sleeping) and the staff was less than helpful in working with us and our situation. The owner was a jerk and he threatened us, he refused to give us different rooms (even after locals on the beach were telling my friend that they recognized her from the stolen passport picture they had seen and their keys to the room were in the purses that were stolen). The owner made us pay for all 7 nights even though we left after we were robbed. The food was terrible and the beach was non existent. This is not a budget hotel, it is a hotel that rips people off that are on a budget. There were other hotels a few feet away offering much more for the same price.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 13 2006 ok but won't stay there again Legends was ok but had trouble with air conditioner and rooms are kind of drab. Food was not good. Service was though. George is a great waiter and took very good care of us. everyone on staff nice but much nicer rooms for the same price in other locations on beach. do not do ai because it is not worth it. We did and ended up eating elsewhere several times because food was not that good. All in all legends was ok but won't stay there again.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 26 2006 Spring break 2005 I've been to negril a million times but never at spring break . If anyone went there last 2005 ..then they know what I'm talking about . My husband and I stayed at this hotel ..Legends..I thought it was pretty cool ..but they thought I think we were two old but it didn't bother me ..after all ..I've been going there since 81...VH1 ..was there and I have pictures... I felt at home because all these kids were my kids age ..And you know my old man was taking every picture he could ... to keep up .. I survived spring break with alot adults my kids age and it made me feel good ..I thought the staff was great although they can get a bit sidewinded because of the heavy crowd. But I'm going back..in 2006 ..I'm not sure where I'll stay I'm sure close to there ...Never been in January ...so I guess...I'll just have to see what I'm in for ..Everyone I met at Legends that works there i thought was cool ..One of the waiter 's Anthony and waitress ..for sure I think her name was sheri..They were always on it ...An Kearan the manager ..is pretty cool I spent nine days last March ...and all in all we had a good time ..If I was able to stay there this time when I go back ..I would ..The only thing I'd like to see about this Hotel ..is more beach area ..

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 25 2005 Repeat customer! I've been to Legends several times and have stayed on the beachside. After my first trip I decided to go all-inclusive because the price difference was minimal. All alcoholic beverages were included until 10pm. The staff was friendly and helpful. They always remember me when I go back. The hotel security guard at night (Claude) always kept an eye out for my friends and me. Everything is laid back at Legends and in the Negril area in general. There is no hustle and bustle of a city like Mobay. Legends is right in the middle of the "Nightlife" on the beach. You don't even have to go into town for fun. If the party isn't at Legends at night then you only have to go left or right up the beach, everything is within walking distance. During the day Legends offers comfortable beach lounge chairs, and there are also shady spots on the beach if you want to get out of the sun. Right next door to Legends is a Cambio that gives a better exchange rate than the hotel and sells phone cards so you can call home cheaper. Just a few more steps away across the street is a shopping center. The town of Negril is within walking distance from Legends also. I've stayed at a bigger, much more expensive all-inclusive resort with my son before...he had a ball, but for 8 days I kept thinking, "I'd be having so much more fun if I was at Legends!"
