Originally converted from a trio of elegant Georgian houses, the Carfax stands in Pulteney Street not far from the famous bridge. The Abbey, the Roman Baths, the shops and theatres are all within walking distance. All rooms have en-suite facilities and there is a lift to all floors. The rooms are individually decorated and many are suitable for families. The economy rooms offer great value in this central location, but if you really want to appreciate all that the Carfax has to offer then upgrade to a generously proportioned, 'Plus' room. Special rates are offered all year for senior citizens and party rates are available for dinners and functions. However, it should be noted that this is a temperance house and the restaurant is unlicensed.
