Avoid staying here on Friday and Saturday night!
Reasonable price, central location, clean hotel. Located on a seedy part of Granville. Warning: Between 2:30 A.M. and 5:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, the noise from the street is very very loud, boisterous and annoying. The bars and clubs get out and the "rowdies" hit the street. From Sunday to Thursday night it was perfect. Just avoid staying here on Friday or Saturday nights.

Okay, But .....
End of our trip before heading back to Hawaii, so there were plenty of other places to compare it with. Even if it had been the first, the location, even though central, was disgusting to say the least. Take this whole hotel and place it elsewhere, and it really wouldn't be so bad. We had a 5th floor suite overlooking Granville, and it was way too loud, the thin windows or walls, something needs to be done to keep the ruckus and disorderly conduct that even Vancouver police can't seem to contain in that specific area. I have had more quiet stays in times square and in downtown Manila, with a train running by my window. The parking entrance is behind, narrow, and seems very dangerous to enter/exit without being in a car. Reminded me a little of the Empire on Robson, but that place is a much better stay and value than this one. We asked the staff to move us up to higher floor, but they insisted that they were at full occupancy, I sincerely doubt it. Don't be fooled by the pics on the net, the location is what brings this otherwise 2-3 star down, a pitty.

Good Hotel, Great Location
This is pretty much like any other best Western. It's clean, simple with nothing special.

Awesome Time In Vancouver
Yes the hotel is in what could be considered the seedy part of Vancouver, but compared to LA, NY, San Francisco etc., seedy is not the word I would use to describe it. The hotel is located in the part of downtown full of nightclubs, bars, restaurants, and yes a couple of adult bookstores. Not once did I not feel safe walking down the street.

Awesome place for anyone
I have gone to Vancouver 4 times now and this was by far the best hotel around that does not cost an arm and a leg. six of my friends and I stayed in two rooms. Both of our rooms had a lot of space including an additional room. The bathrooms are spacious and the living area has a pullout couch, refrigerator and two comfortable padded chairs around a nice coffee table. The best part is the rooms have a balcony!

Great hotel if . . .
This is a great hotel with an ideal location if you do not stay in the Courtyard rooms. We arrived at 1:00 a.m. to check in and we were escorted by security out of the hotel lobby and through an alley. It was quite a surprise, and in addition to that shock, we had to walk up three flights of stairs to get to our room. We moved to a tower room on the 15th floor, overlooking False Creek and it was great. The location is great, however, keep in mind that this is downtown in a major city with lots of night life--you will see strange people and even prostitute. But, during the day, the shopping is great. Don't forget to walk to False Creek and the Granville market!

Lousy hotel and bad neighborhood. Don't stay here!
This hotel is in a seedy part of town. It is unsafe to walk outside after dusk. You run into panhandlers the minute you step outside. Rooms are neat and well maintained but VERY NOISY. You can hear loud music and yelling at 3 in the morning. Front desk staff are rude. They gave incorrect info on both occasions I asked them. Place to avoid !

Cheap Suites
Yes, Granville street right around the hotel is a bit seedy, but it is an easy walk to everywhere and the rooms are very nice. We always stay here when we visit Vancouver because we can get a nice 2-room suite for under CAD$100 and when travelling with a baby it is really really nice to be able to put him in another room at night.
