Back to Hotel Paseo de Las Mercedes Very Dirty I stayed there for two weeks. The hotel manager insisted I pay for the first week because it was too long a stay without paying some of my stay ahead of time (in case I ran-off).
Reviewed by: michel s from on Mar 27 2009 Not worth to go back. Very dirty. The minute you walk in the door you smell and see dirty walls, furniture, carpets. It is filthy. The beds looked clean but once you want to o under the sheets you find hairs from other guests under these, not to mention the bathrooms!!! Very unsanitary. One thing is to have old furniture but to keep the hotel dirty is another. wake up Manager! The place is at an excellent location but very poorly managed.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 02 2004 Hotel Paseo de Mercedes This hotel is centrally located in the city of Caracas. There is an adjoining Shopping Mall which was good because we did not have to go outside the hotel to do some shopping. The hotel was close to facilities like churches....We have gone to mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe church which was close by. Service was excellent; hotel personnel friendly, couteous, helpful. The food was wonderful. I specially enjoyed the fresh fruits served at breakfast and the bacon was marvelously cooked....crunchy, evenly fried. Overall, I rate this hotel highly with a "4" with "5" being excellent. I have recommended this hotel to friends of mine contemplating travel to Venezuela. The room was okay; just right with its size. The walls could use some decorations; and the air conditioner was too loud. We were told not to drink the water from the faucet but ok for brushing...that water had an unpleasant taste to it....same thing with the water in shower. Thank you. (I was in Caracas in March, 2004). Edna
