Back to Sheraton Nashville Downtown Worst Sheraton Hotel to stay in The Hotel is So old that it smells horible. I was unhappy with the first room because it smelled of cigarettes, they moved me to a second room which had a wet spot on the carpet that smelled like toilet. I left and walked over to a different hotel at 9 p.m. our of desperation.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 01 2009 The best hotel I've ever stayed in Me and my fiance stayed for one night because it was close to the Sommet Center and we were going to a concert there that night. I thought it would be nice to get a room on the higher floors. When I made the reservation I asked for a room on the upper floors, they said that could be arranged. When we go to check in the desk clerk said we got upgraded to the Presidental Suite and didn't have to pay extra for it, we were very happy about that, didn't even request it, only asked for a room on the upper floors. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in in a hotel, the showers were clean, the room was very clean. The only bad thing is the parking fee but still I thought it was worth it. Will defintly stay here again and I defintly recomend this hotel. If you do stay here I suggest requesting a room on the upper floors because the view is excellent and your not bothered much on the upper floors but the upper floors are little more expensive but well worth it.
Reviewed by: Michael from on Jun 01 2009 Overall great hotel, bad front desk service Parking was too expensive--we paid $24 plus tax and stayed less than 12 hours. The amount of time it took to check in and out was REDICULOUS. Room was small for the price but very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Reviewed by: bamaleigh123 from on Oct 20 2008 HOTEL NEEDS WORK I thought that the hotel looked nice online, but I was disappointed when I arrived. The girl at the front desk who checked me in barely spoke to me, and seemed as though she was miserable to be working there. When I got to my room, it had a musty smell, and the carpet is very old and dingy. I wore socks to walk around the room. I soon realized that the a/c was set on 60, and it was hot as hell. I had to switch rooms in the middle of the night b/c I couldn't cool off. No one offered to help me move all of my things, and I ended up having to take another bath b/c I was sweating so bad. The new room was not that cool either but tolerable, and that thermostat was set on 60 also. There was no mini bars or vending machines either. I also paid for internet service that would not work. If you have the extra money, stay at the Hermitage. It's first class, and they actually care about their guests.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 02 2008 Will never go back I stayed in the hotel the night of 7/25/2008. I had a room on the 24th floor (2416) with club lounge access. Upon entering the room, there was a noticeable smell. The window caulking was cracked, dried, and falling into the floor. It looked as though the room had not been swept in some time. The bed linens were below average and the bed was very uncomfortable. You could actually feel the bed springs poking in your back. The carpeting was old and pulling away at the seams and especially bad at the bathroom entrance. Although there is a temperature control in the room, we were unable to cool the room down. It stayed a constant 75 degrees in the room.
Reviewed by: Sky from on Jul 28 2008 No Value We stayed here for New Years 2007. The lobby of this hotel is pretty enough, and the elevators are adequate. Our room was hot, and after adjusting the thermostat, the room never cooled off. The beds were old and worn out. The rooms are very small compared to other hotels in the price range. The resturant is terrible. We have been there two years in a row, and have had a terrible experience both time. It took us 90 minutes to eat breakfast due to the incompentance of the wait staff.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 02 2008 NIce Hotel But Nothing to Brag About This is my first review on anyones website. I stayed here twice in the early part of Dec. 07. Well when i check in the service was fast. The lobby was nice and clean. The guest service rep gave me a few menus and suggestions on places to eat in the city when i asked. The room size is pretty standard. The comforter was cozy but the bed was way TOO firm. The bathroom is pretty standard. The room didn't have internet connections though(at least my room). They do have internet tv ($)which i didn't care for because i wanted to use my laptop. The view was really nice from the 22nd floor overlooking the city. The only complaint i did have about this hotel was actually compensated for when i went back the second time. Well the first time i went i paid for club level access on the 22nd floor which includes the bar, half off drinks, etc, free continental breakfast. Well when i checked in i didn't get the keys to access the lounge. I had actually forgotten about that too. Well when i went back the second time i was asking about getting a room at least as high as the 21st floor(for the view). I had asked the guest services clerk what the difference was of being on the club level. She had said that you get the free breakfast, etc as i mentioned above. That's when i remembered on my last reservation that i paid for a room on that level. I had even said that i paid for breakfast at the restaurant. I told her that she could check and she would see my last reservation that i was on that floor. Well the compensation was is that she gave me the key cards to get to the lounge even though i didn't pay for a room on the club level the second time. So that was a plus!! So here is my review on the club lounge. All that they had there was sausage biscuits, bacon, eggs, fruit, etc. It wasn't that great either for paying extra money for. I ended up going downstairs to eat breakfast. So unless you are a drinker, that would be your only benefit of getting a room on the club level lounge is for half off drinks because the breakfast food wasn't too good. The restaurant for dinner was ok and the prices are reasonable. There is also a bar that serves food too but i didn't eat there. Other than that my stay was fine. I would rate this hotel as a 3 star because there was nothing out of the ordinary that could be talked about. Nice for a weekend getaway for singles or couples. I really can't say for families because my room was just a king size. Oh they do have a parking garage and valet. Self parking was $18 and i think valet was about $22.
Reviewed by: Tim from on Dec 31 2007 4-Star Hotel are you kidding! First when we got there we had problems checking in and the lady was rude. Once we got to our room we were shocked on how small it was. Upon looking around the room we noticed that the carpet was tore up near the bathroom. Fine so we left to go out that evening and leaving the parking gargage no one was at the gate to let us out. We waited a couple of minutes still no one. I had to get out of the car and go ask a bell man to open the gate. When we returned we ate at the resturant and it was great but a liitle expensive. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You dont get what you pay for!!!
Reviewed by: Kim P from on Dec 16 2007 Old, stained, and in need of a cleaning First off, the service was okay. The only person I ran into that wasn't helpful was a front desk person named "Rose", who should look into other work if she is going to behave so poorly.
