Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Wi-fi was too weak to work in our room. Great walk up the hill to the castle.

Just spent a weekend here and could find no fault.The rooms are immaculate and the Queen beds so comfortable.

The hotel was well placed and very good in all respects, but the Heights restaurant was a big disappointment. Pre prepared frozen food at high class prices, on complaining to the manager she shrugged and said she understood. Within a few hundred yards you can get excellent freshly prepared food at 2/3rds of the price.

Loved this place, location is just great, you can walk everywhere, bus stop just in front of hotel. Rooms are amazingly spacious and with a home feeling. Staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurant could use a little more variety in their menu, but there's plenty places around to lunch and dine. Overall great value... and don't forget to take the little rubber ducky home!

We got married in Edinburgh last June 2006 and had our reception in the Apex International. Fantastic service, the staff very approachable and the views from our hotel of the castle amazing! Food was beautiful with great offers and we are goiing back for a compimentary champagne meal for 2 this June. The bedrooms are very modern and we had quite a big room for 2 people. We can't wait to go back!
