Back to Swissotel Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful Experience My adult daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. With the exception of one very rude conceirge, everything went very well. We arrived well before the check-in time and they let us check-in without extra charge. Our room was comfortable and clean, the view spectacular, the convenience to so many sights and nice places to eat make this an ideal hotel. Be careful, don't open the minibar door; there will be an automatic fee. The front desk folks are very polite and will remove the fee. I only wish there was complimentary hi-fi and limited but free access to the pool and fitness area.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 07 2009 Family trip made special We had a wonderful time in Chicago. We were warmly welcomed. When I told Charmaine our little one was excited to see the aquarium, she got a gift pack for my daughter. The room was clean and gorgeous. The beds are soooo comfy. Great location in the heart of the city. Pricey hotel worth a look. Check the travel sites. Great food at a major premium. Houlihan's around the corner is a better bet. Pick up aquarium tickets from concierge. We bought at the hotel & were able to walk right into the aquarium. Shedd closed early that day & the line was way, way out the door. With a 4 yr old & a baby, there's no way we would have ben able to wait. Hotel is centrally located, so it's easy to come and go throughout the day. Critical if you're traveling with little people!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 01 2009 we can't wait to go back I love this hotel. Went here on a weekend trip with friends to see Chicago and had a great time. This hotel is VERY clean and everyone is very friendly. They employ people from all walks of life and that is refreshing to see. You can not beat the service that you will receive here, from the front desk to the maid service. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 16 2009 Best View in Downtown Chicago We booked three rooms for a 3-day weekend, with spectacular view of the downtown architecture. The rooms were very nice and clean, although the beds were full size and not quite roomy enough for two large adults. Also, the restaurant and room bar items were expensive. The staff was great and most accomodating. We will definitely stay here again.

Reviewed by: Mark from on May 09 2009 Never staying there again. First of all, it is $49 dollars a day to park your car. I find that insane. The rooms aren't cheap and once you get to the hotel they inform you that it is an additional $15 a day to use the pool. I have never heard of such a thing. The concierge gave us wrong directions and we missed have of our concert. We were told to take the train South, well we were supposed to take it North. The breakfast buffet, which is very small, is $26 plus tax a person. It is in a good location and the bed is very comfortable but I will never stay there again. The hidden fees really ticked me off. They should have the parking fees and pool fees listed on their website.
