Back to Tribeca Grand Hotel Horrible I stayed at the Tribeca Grand on 3/29/08 for my 5th Anniversary. It was beyond atrocious. They put us on the second floor, failing to advise us that the atrium (the rooms all overlook the atrium) turns into a nightclub until the wee hours of the morning. Suffice it to say, all of the reasons why you don't want to sleep in a nightclub came true here. Even worse, after agreeing not to charge me for my room, the hotel charged my credit card anyway and refuses to reverse the charge!!

Reviewed by: Rachna from on May 23 2007 Great time, great place! We stayed at the Tribeca Grand during the August heatwave. On our second night we had an issue with the night manager regarding the loud music coming from a private room off the bar which happened to be situated right below us. We were told to stick a pillow over our heads. We said it's not the noise it's the vibrations. To which she (the manager) replied, stick two over your head. Finally, after two hours of "discussions", we were moved to a smaller room on a higher floor. At that point we didn't care how big the room was we just wanted to sleep.

Reviewed by: yizhuo from on May 16 2006 Very Good but... The best part of the hotel is the cool lobby bar. However, they closed it off for a private party on a Thursday night. It was a cold and wet evening which left the hotel patrons without any form of socializing or unwinding.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 29 2005 Come for the style stay for the service The gracious and attentive staff is what makes this hotel superior. I recently stayed at the Tribeca Grand for a week and expected a hip hotel with hip employees and the sort of so-so service that accompanies trendy places. Instead, I found a place full of accommadating, happy and respectful service minded staff. On top of the basics being exceptional the restaurant was top-notch and the room and every spot in the place completely spic and span. Throughout my week I needed several things and every call to the front desk or concierge was picked up instantly and dealt with quickly and perfectly. I actually laughed at how quickly staff made it to my room when I requested an ipod and a fish (both free upon request). I took advantage of the small, private business office that is available for a small fee ($10 or $15 a day I think)Tribeca is a fantastic neighborhood for a stroll and is especially fun for singles, couples, business travelers or shoppers and pet owners...a full section in the room service menu is devoted to pet needs! Each doormen knew the area like the back of their hand and helped me and my friends(some of whom live in NY) get to places faster and with less hassle than we thought possible.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 19 2005 Beautiful modern hotel in midst of Tribecca. This hotel boasts an amazing hip hotel bar with great bites. Its rooms are on the small side, but have super sleek details (like a small flat screen in the bathroom). Dark grays, and muted colors dress the room and this can make you easily want to sleep the day away. The staff was very courteous and helpful during my stay.
Reviewed by: Susan from on Sep 07 2004 Great location; Stylish place The Tribeca is right in the center of a great part of New York and close enough to the business end of things to still be convenient. The bar in the center of the lobby is a local hotspot. Like it's sister hotel, the Soho Grand, the Tribeca also has a lot of stylish amenities that make the place distinct. This isn't your bland Hilton or Hyatt. It's got character.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! User from on Sep 03 2004 nice hotel in a great location Great location for a hotel - right in the heart of Tribeca, with access to great restaurants and bars. The rooms are nice (they do have king-sized beds available, for taller guests). The downstairs bar is great, but it isn't conducive to getting to bed early (it can get loud). Staff is nice, helpful. If you need to stay downtown, I would reccomend the Tribeca Grand.
