This 'lofty' Mount Nevis property is located high in the hills overlooking St. Kitts across the channel. It was originally built as a hotel, in contrast to the many Nevis resorts converted from old plantations. What this hotel may lack in old-world charm, it definitely makes up for in-creature comforts and lush landscaping. Mount Nevis has multiple amenities, from large comfortable guest rooms, many with small kitchenettes, TVs, VCRs, phones, air-conditioning, to a magnificent gourmet kitchen that produces some of the best meals on the island. The Beach Club, also part of the hotel but located just a short distance away, offers a more casual dining experience, including wonderful homemade pizza, burgers and fun foods served by the water. The hotel has good hiking nearby and offers water sports, horseback riding, or relaxation by the hotel's 60-foot pool. If keeping in shape is on your agenda, pump some iron in the on-site fitness center.
