This lovely plantation inn offers a glimpse of what life was like on an 18th century sugar estate. Located at the edge of the rain forest, Golden Rock is ideal for hikers or nature enthusiasts. Owner Pam Barry (the great, great granddaughter of the original plantation owner) has created an eco-resort, complete with nature walks and maps for hiking to the peak of Mount Nevis, which rests at 3,232 feet. The simple, but comfortable cottage rooms have views of the neighboring island Montserrat. Dine in the old kitchen room or under a pink umbrella on the patio for breakfast or lunch.
