Best part is barstaff
Barstaff Eddie, Tom and Tony are the best part of this hotel, very personable, helpful and funny. Thank god for them otherwise if you like mildew, peeling wallpaper, ants and stained carpet this place is for you. Pool area smells like gas, rooms smell like ass. Location nice right on river. No shuttle to airport. No restaurant after 2 P.M. Not worth the price stay down the block at Hilton and stop by for cocktails with a great barstaff

gave away my car in valet to drunk roommate
Attended fla/ga football game. Stayed at the wyndham hotel on the river. One of my friends staying with me stole my business vehicle out of valet with no ticket or id at approximately 100 am. Valet admitted no ticket or i.d. and that my friend looked drunk , and "he was wondering whether or not he should give him the keys". He ran into some type of yellow pole, and trashed/damaged the brand new escalade and then got arrested for going down a one way/dui/violation of probation/driving on a suspended license/knowingly driving on a suspended license. $35,200 bail. The Hotel is playing the cya game and is denying to pay for my vehicle etc. They are trying to blame me for giving my car to him. Which I did not, I gave him $100 to get drunk and get a water Taxi or a regular Taxi. The manager, security manager, valet manager, valet company owner are all working to get their collective stories straight to try to deny my claim. Remember when you give your car to valet YOU ARE NOT GIVING IT TO WYNDHAM EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE WYNDHAM JACKETS AND UNIFORMS, they have created plausible deniability by interjecting a third party valet to try to insulate them from liability. The guy who actually gave my car away apologized and took blame so im not mad at him. At least he is honest and displays moral fortitude. The general manager Jared however is doing his best to make sure he tries to turn this on me, the customer for having a stupid friend. Kudos to the jacksonville police for being extremely helpful when they did not have to be. By the way the room we got was horrible #469. The toilet area is so small if your you can barely fit. Some kind of spiderweb/dust/santas beard stuff hanging from the popcorn ceiling. beds and pillows were nice however. Puke/some kind of residue on nightstand side. Windows older than me. Small room for $ 379.

Going back for more!
I loved the service and attention that I received. The bedding was awesome and pleasant to sleep on. I am currently making plans to return this summer.

A Mixed Review – The Good and the Horrible
If you are staying only one-night to go to a football game or a concert, this is a barely acceptable hotel. If you are staying for more than one night — or if you’re hosting a conference – consider somewhere else. This property is a Wyndham hotel in name only.

Worst hotel I have ever experienced
Everything in thise hotel was filthy and rundown. The manager moved us to a "renovated" suite, but it too was filthy. He promised to adjust our rate but at checkout it wasn't done. The morning manager told us that it couldn't be changed because we made our reservation through Yahoo.

Bad choice
This hotel has a very bad odor as soon as you walk through the lobby door. The rooms were dirty and smelly - smelled smokey and musty. The carpets were crusty as if they had been wet and allowed to air dry without any service. The bathroom ceiling had water stains and cracked and peeling paint (evidence of leakage from above). Overall, VERY BAD CHOICE for the money.

Absolutely disgusting!!!
I should have known this hotel was going to be bad when I saw several mangey stray cats hanging out at the front entrance. Upon entering, I noticed a funny smell but I checked in anyways due to desperation. The carpet in the room was nasty! That same odor that I noticed in the lobby was twice as strong in the room. The walls and curtains were nasty and there was a dead spider in my bed! I knew that I was not going to be able to sleep under that condition so I checked out immediately. I heard that they were supposed to have renovated the property. I hope that this was not the result!

Yuck
If you want a horrific stay in a nice city then by all means choose this dump. If you like a room that is dusty, crusty and smelly then you will love what this place has to offer. I have no idea how this place stole the Wyndham name, but it is the biggest ripoff since the Native Americans got taken advantage of. The room was dusty, the bathroom was cramped, and if it were not for the fact that it was so close to the river I'd have left earlier. I cannot believe my employer chose this dump, I think we would have come out better if we'd have pitched tents in the woods; at least then we would have known what to expect. Take my advice steer clear of this place, unless you like over priced roach motels.
