Back to Seattle Hilton Hotel Great location, not so great hotel This hotel is in a great location--central to everything. It's a short walk to Pike's Place Market or the waterfront. But the hotel itself is very "Hilton". What I mean is, you never know what you're going to get when staying at a Hilton. You either get a great hotel, or one that is old, outdated, and needs a lot of work. This particular Hilton falls into the category of needing a lot of work. It's old, and the rooms are extremely small. Just to give you an idea of how small it is, the coffee maker is on the counter where the sink is, and this leaves almost no room to put any of your things. The counter/sink area are just tiny. Be prepared to bump your elbows onto the wall as you try to shave since there's almost no room. The room with the toilet is also the room with the bathtub/shower, and they both are crammed into a very small space. It's just not that great of a place to stay, and it's old and could use a rennovation. The entrance to the hotel is at street level, but you need to take the elevator up to the lobby. The way the building is constructed, the first 10 floors or so is a parking garage, and the hotel itself does not begin until you get above the garage. It took me and few other guests a few minutes to figure out why the elevator buttons skipped so many floors! My advice is that if you need a place to stay for just one night and you really don't plan on being at the hotel for anything other than sleeping, then it's not bad and should be just fine. But if you're going to Seattle for a vacation and will be there for a few days or more, you will probably be disappointed by this property. There are other places around there that are much more suited for a vacation or longer stay, such as the Westin Seattle, the Marriott at the waterfront, and others. If you don't need to be downtown, a short cab ride away you will find the Hampton Inn which is a great place to stay, as well as a Holiday Inn Express which is equally as nice.

For price found rooms to be very small - no items on room service menu for children. Could be a first-class small hotel but needs a lot of updating.
