Back to Warwick Regis I'd go back! I was visiting from Chicago and had never been to San Francisco. The location is great! I just walked outside and found tons of things to see and do. It's two blocks from the beautiful Union Square. There are beautiful shops on the same block...pricey...but nice to look at.
Reviewed by: Marissa from on Mar 29 2009 Good, not excellent Overpriced. This classic hotel has a fabulous bar and restaurant, but it iseuropean in style, very small, classic lobby with attached bar and restaurant. Rooms are classic, but they are getting 'tired'. And those fabulous pillowtop mattresses in all the hotels now...not here, not yet.
Reviewed by: Jimmy H from on Dec 06 2008 good deal except parking fee The hotel room was clean, staff was friendly, bed was firm and comfy, we stayed on the 7th floor on Taylor St side to avoid the street noise and it was reasonable, so 6th floor would be ok too, but avoid the alley and Geary St . The hotel rate was reasonable, until you factor in the parking with tax and tip add $50. Best if you dont have a car - easy transport from this location. Centrally located, take streetcar or muni around. Room is small but cozy and flat screen TV is nice. They really do take the complimentary coffee away at 7am exactly, then you can buy it in the restaurant or go down the street for a cuppa. Id probably try a different place, although this was satisfactory.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 22 2008 We loved it! We stayed at The Warwick Regis Hotel on October 14-17 and we loved it! The hotel room was great (although when we booked the room we were told we'd have a canopy bed and did not get that). It was centrally located, clean, nice and the people were SO nice--from desk to restaurant to cleaning personel. We would love to go back there next time in SF. It was a great part of our trip. It was also very quiet. The shower was out of the world. I don't know if I have ever had a better shower! The furnishings were beautiful and it was wonderful staying there.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 22 2007 Wonderful for San Fran! My husband and I stayed three nights at the Warwick Regis in San Francisco. This hotel was great!!! The staff was amazingly friendly and very helpful!! They helped us navigate the city and the continental breakfast was great! Everything about this hotel was positive for us. Yes, it is on a busy street, but what do you expect in the heart of Downtown San Francisco!!! The room was a perfect size with a large flatscreen TV. The furnishings were very elegant and regal. We felt like we paid a lot more for this hotel! The rate was incredible and it is just two short blocks from the Hub of Union Square. I was 6 months pregnant when we stayed there and it was the perfect distance from all the touristy stuff (or the public transportation to take you to the touristy stuff)... Overall, I loved this hotel and we will reccomend it to all of our friends and family. If we come back to vacation again in San Francisco, we'll definately stay at the Warwick!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 01 2007 We would go there again! The Warwick Regis is a charming boutique hotel. We had a 2nd-floor room on Geary Street and looked out at all its hustle and bustle. Yes, the rooms are small but charming. We had twin beds, flat screen TV, plenty of space for our clothes and toiletries and a well-stocked bar.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 10 2006 A Warwick to Like I love the Warwick in New York and in many ways the SFO Warwick is from the same mold, literally. Many of the fixtures in the building are exactly the same as the NYC Warwick making it seem familiar and comfortable. They have also managed to maintain a great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Even the restaurant in the lobby although small in size serves great meals (try the eggs benedict)and is resonably priced for a hotel eatery.
Reviewed by: Thomas from on Jun 02 2006 Quaint Hotel The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms were kinda small but the bed was comfortable. After a mix up with our reservations, the hotel did upgrade to a suite and sent a bottle of champaine up to the room. Great location in downtown SF but the view from the window was a brick wall. I would return to this hotel again.
