Best getaway!
I loved this place when I walked in the door. They are welcoming and the place is just beautiful. I've actually been twice in the last two weeks, and both times, I loved it. The first time, they gave us suite for the same price as a room, and wow, it was amazing, a big room, riverview with a balcony. AMAZING bed, the mattresses at this hotel are the best I have ever slept on. The room is very clean and well maintained. The food is also delicious. The second time, we got a room instead of a suite, but still had the riverview and balcony. We spend 99 percent of our time sitting on the balcony just looking over the river. It is absolutely beautiful. Also, the breakfast at this hotel... it is to die for. They have a full buffet, but if you want omelettes or eggs that are not scrambled they make them. Both times, we had breakfast there and loved every bite of it. I am not unhappy with a single aspect of this hotel, I love it and will continue to go back there.

A Hotel that Cares
We visited this hotel in October. I became ill (nothing to do with the hotel) and spent most of the time in my room for three days. The housekeeper was very nice and even brought me ice since I could not leave the room one day. The gentleman at Starbucks placed a sandwich order for my husband and friends just before closing late in the evening I became ill. We were able to keep the sandwiches in the hotel room refrigerator so they had something to eat when we returned from the hospital. I was able to get chicken noodle soup during hours between lunch and dinner when the restaurant was closed and where I inadvertently left my purse in the bar area after eating my soup and didn't discover it was missing till later. We hurried down to the lobby. The purse was there waiting for me. All in all this experience would have been much worse had the hotel employees not been so accommodating.

It was the most relaxing stay I've at a hotel in a long time!!! The most comfortable pillows and a very firm bed! I will return!

What a refreshing change
I had stayed at this property when it was a Hilton and hadn't been to Jacksonville since. What a pleasant experience. The new bedding is out of this world and the restaurant got a complete makeover and is so light and refreshing. I highly recommend you check out this hotel when visiting downtown Jacksonville. The staff has always been very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Oh, and make sure to reserve a river front room, it's well worth the few extra bucks for the view, especially at night!!

We'd go back in a second!
I was told that the Crowne Plaza took over the management of this hotel from the Hilton, and what a terrific job they've done! Everything was so clean and beautiful, and the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The beds are the most comfortable of any I've ever slept in at any hotel, and the amenities and little extras made us feel very special. I highly recommend this hotel. While the other side of the river might have had more to offer in terms of walking to locations, the water taxi at a reasonable price took care of that. When I go back to Jacksonville, this is the place I'm going to stay. Great exercise room too with machines that work. I rate it five stars. The only downside was the location of the pool in a place that groups used for parties. ...

I had a terrible experience
The employees are rude especially in the American Grill area also, the housekeeping staff is not very friendly or clean up to your standards to be called a Hilton It should be called a Motel 6 or something else beside the Hilton.

Wonderful visit
The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with the concierge service, who hooked me up with several things to do, including a river tour on Jax charters, which was wonderful. All in all, I found the hotel and staff really enhanced my visit to Jacksonville.
