Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 11 2009 first timer we came in Feb of 09 alot of consruction that slowed the entrance to the pool/beach.The people were great but the rooms was old and tired. they looked like they were build and decorated in the 60sWe were upgraded to a suite on the 19 th floor birds eye view but a lower floor would have been better. The whole decor of the lobby and floors was very dated.Coffee shops ete open very late to use before any tours.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 28 2009 Hated every minute Their is no access for handicap persons. The concierge has no knowledge of area and services. Pool closes at 5P - not so nuce when on vacation one would expect it to stay open later. Rooms have stains on carpet and cockroaches in rooms. Valet parking attendees are rude. Hotel restaurants food is expensive and terrible, served cold.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 27 2009 worth the wait It was a dream vacation that was truly realized. My wife and I would go back in a second. The room service was rather exorbitant, but it usually is at any vacation hotspot.

Reviewed by: golfgrll from on Aug 04 2008 We always stay at this hotel!! My husband and I travel to Hawaii a lot!! We always choose to stay at the Sheraton! It's location is very easy to get to and conveniently located near all the shops and busy area of Honolulu! It's walking distance from everything you need to do in Honolulu. The views of Diamond Head are breath taking! The hotel staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean! The only downside is you have to take a short 1 minute walk to the beach... and the pools here are not very big.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 20 2007 A Perfect Honeymoon My husband and I couldn't of been more pleased with our room and the staff. We loved the shopping right there in the hotel, the entertainment, the view from our room was amazing! We loved the food so much that we ate every meal at the hotel. The concierge met our every need with planning our daily tours and activities. Yes, the decor was a bit outdated in the room, but it was our honeymoon, we barely noticed! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I guess I cannot say enough. Our experience was extraordinary and we dream of returning all the time. I would recommend and have recommended this hotel, especiallly for first time visitors to Hawaii. The staff was knowledgeable to the tourist attractions and were able to stear us in the right direction making the most of our 9 days! My only regret was that we didn't have two weeks!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 13 2007 Location, Location, Location! I really liked the location of the hotel. We were right next to the infamous pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel, steps away from shopping and restaurants, and an excellent view of Diamond Head. I especially liked the way the pool area was setup. You had a direct view of the ocean instead of a crowded beach with sunbathers and joggers like the other hotels. But, easy access and a quick stroll would put you in the mix if desired. The rooms were modern and scarce. Which wasn't that big of a deal, because the focus was not to stay in the room and lounge. The downside would have to be the customer service in respect to communication. We were misinformed on where to park our rental and were not given the proper parking pass upon check-in. We were also led to believe that parking was included in the reservation, but upon checking out we were charged. After review of the bill, we contacted the hotel customer service and reached a very unhelpful representative whose only reply was "your word against theirs" and "do you have it in writing". We were disappointed in how the call was handled. Other than that, the hotel was fine. For future reference, we will remember to print our travel confirmations make sure anything included is in writing to avoid future miscommunication.
