Back to Century Plaza Hotel & Spa very disappointed Booked on line, at that time this hotel was listed as 4-star hotel. I complained, I dont know if that helped, I can see that now it is listed as 3-star. I would give it 1-star at most. Rooms are old, not updated at all, dirty carpet, cracked shower, broken toilet, bad smell; horible looking elevators. Will never go back, and would never recommend to anybody. In fact, I would really discourage anyone of staying at this terrible hotel.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 17 2009 Awesome I've stayed here twice. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful, also the location is perfect. It's very clean and neat, and rooms are nice - awesome bar, too. I highly recommend it to anyone and am going back next month.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 04 2008 We are regular's ! We stay here often due to the location, size of the rooms and the outstanding amenities the hotel has, Spa Comedy Club and restaurant. You essential pay what you get the less expensive rooms provide spacious rooms at excellent value while the other rooms (corporate, executive, Deluxe) are more luxurious. The staffs are friendly and go out of your way to keep you happy, you essentially pay what you get…what’s wrong with that !
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 01 2008 First Class Establishment My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. What we really enjoyed was getting an upgrade to a suite as it was our "Honeymoon" - the view from atop the hotel beautiful!!! What is more, the hotel is close to downtown and close to Stanley Park and the restaurant district. It may also detract from your visit as it is downtown, very busy, and close to the fire department as well! We really enjoyed our 3 days in Vancouver and the Century Plaza was the proverbial "cherry on top" of our honeymoon vacation drive.
Reviewed by: Pete from on Jul 19 2008 Disappointment We've stayed at the hotel many times in the past, but this time was terrible. Bellmen and restaurant/bar staff are wonderful. That's about it. The rooms are very run down, shower doesn't work properly, bathtub is stained, TV is broken, etc. etc. We booked this months ago and when we checked in we got a room directly over Burrard Street, which is extremely noisy with sirens and homeless people yelling in the middle of the night. The front desk staff were abrupt and rude. Asked for a password to access internet and the clerk said "What, you want it NOW?". Noticed that the checkout date was incorrectly entered on our form, and another clerk said, "This is why you're supposed to read it before you sign it." Then when we checked out they misplaced the receipt faxed to them earlier that indicated it was a prepaid room. I had to spend over half an hour getting it refaxed to them. The desk clerk simply wanted to charge my visa and not deal with it any longer. Seriously, for the same price, you can stay at the Sheraton across the street for much better service and cleaner rooms. We'll never go back.
