Excellent stay
We travelled with three small children and had a wonderful time at this hotel. It was clean, spacious, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Superb hotel near business district
I stayed here while on business and it was great that I could walk everywhere I needed to go. Staff were helpful and the concierge was excellent. Hotel is a little impersonal as many large hotels tend to be, but great all in all.

Rooms too hot
Started out great until we reached the front desk to check in. She said that our reservation had been for the night before and we were going to be charged. Clerk was rude and when I asked for a manager she replied that she was one. Got to our room - no A/C in JUNE in Dallas. Sent maintenance up & he worked on it about 15 min. Still no cool. Two hours later, sent another guy up who said it would be cool in about an hour (this was about 5 PM_. We went to wedding and got back at midnight to a hot room. Called and demanded to be moved to new room. They moved us to a smaller, cooler room that was still not cool enough but we just said heck with it and went to bed sleeping too hot. Finally slept in chair with air blowing on me with head down on the table. All they would do was waive our parking ($20) and the charge from the bogus night before reservation. Other guests of the wedding complained of hot rooms, too. One couple moved out and went home in the middle of the night!

Solid choice
The rooms were well appointed and clean. The gym was nice too. Staff was eager to be of assistance. Location was good: near a very fine set of museums, and I walked to the Convention Center without a problem. I know that many other high-end hotels do this, but... I really don't like putting things all over the room you have to pay extra for. I don't want them, and I don't want the room to be a grossly overpriced convenience store either. The price was a little high, and the restaurant had rather restricted hours with very few healthy choices. The in-hotel Starbucks even had all the standard yogurt, veggie wrap, lower-fat choices removed and just the fattiest, saddest looking fare. And there aren't many convenient places for reasonably priced, healthy food in downtown Dallas. So, it was a sore point... but the only one in an otherwise fine hotel.

Loved it
I loved this Grand hotel. The service was excellent! Housekeeping did a excellent job and the food was wonderful. What a great value. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone. I was traveling on business and after a long flight and schedule it was so nice to climb in to the most comfortable bed and relax. Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. 24hr business center was very helpful and the staff were very professional. Loved it.

Texas Sized Mess
This hotel was a mess from start to finish! Rude front desk, poor customer service, did not honor reservations, did not have enough housekeeping staff to support guests, could not get seated in the restaraunt, bill was incorrect, could not get internet, wireless non-functional then data port in room was busted, sink backed up. Seriously. Not one good experience sans one very nice bellhop. Sad. I will never stay here again. Period.
