Back to Hotel Fiesta Americana Fantastic staff, and clean rooms Staff was wonderful, maid service 2 times a day rooms kept very clean, very well kept hotel grounds, Breakfast and lunch great, but dinner became very boring after a few night's eating there, only 2 menu's to pick from Italian or Mexican with only 12 items to choose from. No night entertainment (would of been nice)
Reviewed by: danial from on Nov 09 2009 Beautiful hotel! All the rooms have great views of the mountains, pool area, city lights, and a great view of the ocean. Not often you get a view with all that in it from your room. Service and food were excellent. Room was very nice with all the amenities you would see at Four Seasons. Beach at hotel was very nice, calm waves. Pool was nice, wish it was deeper than 4 feet and its not designed very well, but was refreshing. Hotel not crowded at all, at least when we went. Very few tourists there from the US. I think it was Mexican Holiday or something. I would definitly stay there again. Great location in walking distance to grocery stores, bus lines, restaurants. The restaurants at hotel were very nice but too pricey for Mexico. They gouge the tourists there for sure. Breakfast outdoor buffet nice, but $40 USD for two people? Plus flys crawling on some of the fruit was unappetizing. Went to the Burger King nearby one morning to save $$. Rained almost every night, big storms, but clear and sunny the next day. Lots to do in PV, great family destination.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 25 2009 Mixed Feelings We haven't gone there yet, but the reviews are so mixed. On expedia it says how great the hotel is, but on other sites it says how bad it was. How was it really? from somebody who has been there.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 20 2008 Nice Place Ours was a family vacation at Spring Break time. The hotel is centrally located about half way between the airport and downtown. It's an older hotel but exceptionally clean and well maintained. The food is ok. They have a very good breakfast buffet. Lunch was only average, and we never ate dinner there though they appeared to have a nice buffet set up each night. The pool and beach area is very nice. Much of the sand is very coarse and rough on your feet until you get right down by the water,so this discouraged walks on the beach. Within walking distance of the hotel are a large grocery store (Gigante- think super Walmart or Meijer's) a small internet cafe/deli, and a handful of 'American' fast food places (KFC, Pizza hut, Burger King,Chili's). Warning, when we tried the KFC, it had a different menu from those back home, and we struggled with the language barrier when ordering (by contrast, most of the service folks at the hotels do speak english).

Reviewed by: Denise Sanders from on Jan 26 2008 Perfect!!! This hotel really captures the true beauty of Puerto Vallarta. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the airport by taxi. Upon arrival it looks like a piece of paradise. I chose Fiesta Americana because it looked tropical and less commercialized. I was correct in my assumption. Not only was it beautiful, but the hotel was spotless. The staff was constantly cleaning around the resort. The service was impeccable and guest satisfaction ruled the day. My trip was in May 2007 and since it was considered the off season, the rates were very good. My room was on the 7th floor with an amazing ocean view. The recent renovations were noticeable and the decor of the room was very nice. No ugly tropical drapes or bedspread. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my room matched the picture on the internet. The only thing that I found not as satisfactory was the food. The resort food was expensive and not that good. However, the guacamole, salsa and chips from the poolside snack bar made up for that tenfold. For a mere $4.50 you get a generous helping of each and it makes for a great afternoon snack. Overall I would recommend this hotel to all my friends! It was very relaxful. Some families, but not over the top kids. I'm even planning a return trip very soon in January 2008.

Reviewed by: Joe from on Mar 31 2007 Fiesta Americana:Review We just went to Puerto Vallarta for vacation last summer. I thought that the Fiesta Americana was a great hotel because of the hospitality and the great atmosphere that you get from the people and tourists around the hotel. I give it a five out of five.
