We spent 2 nights at the Four Seasons Resort, Bali at Jimbaran Bay and 5 nights at the Four Seasons in Sayan after what a friend had suggested. We loved both resorts, but we felt that Sayan was better than Jimbaran Bay. I must disagree with the other reviews saying that the rooms are tired. In fact our villa and suite (for our children) looked practically new. The New Year's Party we attended was great. Although the restaurant, Ayung Terrace was limited, we enjoyed eating out almost every night since the resort was very close to local restaurants in Ubud. The service had to be the best thing about the resort. It was a lot better than we had expected coming from a Four Seasons Hotel/Resort. The Balinese staff were always smiling and always greeted us. The service was exceptional. The views over the Ayung River was what put this over Jimbaran Bay. We felt that Sayan was more natural and more beautiful. I loved the Four Seasons and cannot wait to go back.

A great location is all this hotel has to offer. I agree with the other review now three years old: the hotel's service is akin to a budget priced hote; the food --and I do not exagerent - is no better than your standard cafeteria fare only much more expensive. The rooms while nicely designed need renovation. What is up with the outdated televisions from the 1990s? Like four seasons generally----this is no four seasons. Overpirced. You will not be happy. spend less money somewhere else or the same amount at the neighboring Aman property.
