Boy This Place Needs a Spruce Up
Pink Sands sure doesn't live up to its billings. The service was spotty at best (ie the dishes from our in room breakfast were still on the patio three days after we'd had it), our roof leaked in the rain, and overall the place needs a bath and some paint! Mediocre food - but a spectacular location on a beautiful beach made the experience somewhat mixed - but never to be repeated. And a bar with a wonderful view over the ocean that closes at 4:00 - I don't get it!

Pink Sands in 1953
I haven't been there in ovr 50 years but it was fantastic in 1953 - landed in the bay in a plane with pontoons - only a radio telephone for contact to the rest of the world - spent a marvelous restful vacation in a private little cabana - breakfast in the cabana and reading and playing cards until meals with Caribean music - I hope to go back again at the age of 86! it stank, it wuz dirty, the staff were ugly, and i didnt get free room service I disliked the whole stinking place, it smelled of fish and dead animals, especially of skunk.

if you want to get away ... THIS IS IT
travel around harbour island in a golf cart.. it is too much fun. stop for ice cream at a local store.... this place is strictly sandals, tank tops and shorts.... forget dressing up..PINK SANDS RESORT is superb value for money... its Morrocan theme really got us in the mood. we stayed at this resort for 7 nights... it was perfect.. remember there is not much to do but be a beach bumb... but thats exactly what we were looking for... great place and food at the resort was superb... cottages gave you a swept away feeling.. they are great! would def recommend this hotel...

We can't wait to go back next year!
We got off the plane and took the boat over to Harbour Island. The locals were very welcoming. The hotel is located perfectly on the most beautiful beach we'd ever seen. The little bungalows give you the feeling that you're living your own "island home dream". It was very relaxing. There are several activities in and around the hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive, from beginning to end. It's a great getaway....if you really want to getaway.
