Wow, what a beautiful, elegant hotel. We were very lucky to have won a free stay here. Why? Well, first and foremost, the hotel is gorgeous and right in the heart of Munich across from the finest shops, a short walk from the Marienplatz, next door to the opera house, close to several U-Bahn stations, and a short taxi ride from the Hauptbahnhof. Secondly, the hotel has one of the most delicious breakfast buffets on the entire planet. Thirdly, the staff is wonderful, helpful and friendly. The only downside is that the hotel is extremely expensive. At approximately $500/night, we would not have been able to afford staying there had we not won a free stay, but I can't complain. It's a 5 star luxury hotel in a wealthy European city - I wouldn't expect anything less, I suppose. If you can afford it, stay there. I have heard there is no finer hotel in Munich.
