The best hotel I've ever visited
What I liked most was that the rooms were so close to the beach. It was just a step away to your room. I also liked the seclusion and privacy of the resort. That made it a lot more personal. I can't wait to go back. I even recommended it to my boss and she also stayed at the Hyatt Dorado. She loved it! Keep up the good work!

I love this place!
Dorado is unlike any other resort. It truly is paradise. Being able to wake up every morning and literally walk right out to the beach is incredible. There is no greater place and no where I would rather stay.

What a Fantastic Place!
The Hyatt Dorado was the greatest resort my family has stayed at. By becoming a Hyatt member (which is free to do) we recieverd a free room upgrade upon arrival. A friendly man in a gold cart drove us to our room on the first floor. Rooms with two queen sized beds are on the first floor and rooms with one king are on the second floor. The room was very clean and very authentic to the rich culture of the island. The room was air conditioned, but also had fans. Also, the room had a huge sliding glass door that opended onto a decent sized private patio + furniture. The patio was on an expansive mostly private lawn which (about 20 feet away) turned into a beach and the crystal clear ocean. So if your laying in your bed, you can look out and see your patio, the lawn, the beach + ocean, and maybe a hammock or two (whcih were scattered all over the resort). The resort has two pools, one is very large and sometimes a bit crowded, but has diving and is great for family's and the other pool is very quite, smaller and almost never crowded (we seldom saw more than another couple there). The resort also had a bay that was fantastic for wading, swimming, or snorkeling (my favorite), a few pricey restaurnats and bars, a huge gold course that overlooked the ocean and probably a few other things that I'm forgetting. The entire property is a few acres, so walking shoes are a must. Also, you can rent bikes and ride around the resort, or venture outside the gates. There is really great dining (and also very cheap) outside of the resort, but nearby. Also, there are an endless amount of things to do on the island and most of it is within reasonable driving distance. In addition, there is amazing scuba diving on the island. Also, although this may not be available any more, the Hyatt Dorado allowed you to take a trolley next door to it's sister resort and use their facilities (which was basically an incredbily large outdoor water park, amusement park) for free. But like I said, this may not still be available, because they were converting the resort to apartments / condos when we were there. Before I forget, this resort is a great value, and deals can usually be found through Hyatt or some other source. What's great about this resort is that paradise is right outside your door, and whether you want an active vacation or a leisurely vacation, you can do it all right there.

Relaxingggggg..
I know this hotel as The Dorado Beach...for me it means a great beach, tranquil waters...a lot of palms and trees...beautiful and comfortable rooms...it's so tropical with luxury too...If you look for a place to be doing nothing, only swimming, having a suntan near the beach,or just to be relaxing this is for you...ur kids can enjoy it a lot..they have summer camps for them...great!!.. I love the informal restaurant, I don't remember the name,is located near the pool and the cabanas.. there the family can take the breakfast or lunch. We are from Puerto Rico but we live in the United States..when we go to PR we like to stay there and we choose the "villas" near the beach in the first floor..The evening meals are a little expensive, so we used to go to a mall near the hotel..there is a Pizza Hut and other restaurants. You can rent "bicicletas" to enjoy the place...it's huge!!

Love This Place
We love this place because it is truly a wonderful and peaceful spot. We've been back several times - and with our child. We wish they had additional on-ste food options - but you can always go into town and "go local" for more flavor. Everybody who works at the resort is an excellent person - willing to go out of their way to make your visit more enjoyable - the people here only add to the reallt beautiful location. If your looking for a peaceful room ON the beach, this is your spot.

Best View EVER!
The site was gorgeous. A parrot talked to us in the main open air lobby. A gentlemen took us on a ride in a golf cart to our room where he took our bags upstairs and filled our ice bucket. I wasn't used to so much service. Once I opened the door to the room, I was beside myself! I had never seen a view that good in my life! We were literally no more than 30 feet away for not only the beach, but the breaking coast on a pile of rocks. Between us and the coast was a pleasant hammock where me and my fiancee almost fell asleep in one night. The nights are very calm at the resort, but there is an extension that is only a trolley away that contains a casino, huge pool, and a couple restaurants. At the resort, there is a little cabana on the beach that serves drinks and lets you munch on plantain chips (yum!). While there, you must purchase a CocoLoco. This is their signiture drink. When ordered, they pull a coconut right off the tree and chop off the top and mix a drink in it. Fabulous! We would go back just for that drink and the view from the room. They also have two restaurants onsite that are very nice. Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone!

Dorado the golden paradise
Not far away from Puerto Rico's Capital, San Juan, one of the best resorts to go and relax for a weak is located. Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort is the perfect place to go and take a break with the family or with ones couple.

Quiet, relaxing and beautiful!
The view from our second story balcony was spectacular! A gently sloping, well manicured lawn, dotted with palm trees and the occasional hammock, gave way to a good expanse of clean sand and sparkling blue water. The resort was quiet and the beach often deserted. Our room was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job, managing to come and go quickly and quietly. We would return in a heartbeat!
