My wife and I stayed there, and love it! It's a little pricy, but our room was worth it. The Bloemenmarkt (flower market) is around the corner (there's a great little pancake cafe across from the flower market). The hotel is less than 1/2 mile away from Dam Square so you avoid the noisy summer crowd. We didn't visit any restaurants at or near the hotel. There's a supermarket at the other end of the flower market. The people at the front desk were not helpful or friendly.

location ideal, rooms great everything you need for a few days away, staff helpful and friendly. watch out for taxi's outside airport may rip you off much easier and cheaper to catch train. overall fab experience, can't wait to return.

Although the rooms are smaal, the hotel was clean and enough for a short stay in amsterdam. It was very close to both the old town and the city center, just besides the flower market.

Comfortable,clean & close. The bar & restaurant were great. The only complaint I have is that the room key wasn't programmed correctly. That's a small complaint.

We loved everything about The Holly Hotel Carlton in Amsterdam. It is very central with lots going on all around! We enjoyed the sounds of the city at night. We left our bedroom window open and enjoyed the noices drifting up from the streets below. Our room was overlooking the Bloemenmarket and a lovely canal. We hated to leave. Very clean, excellent service and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. For me it, was centrally located for everything I wanted to see & do. Very reasonable price given the location & the comfort level.

Good solid hotel, very functinoal, we didnt spend much time their but when we did our needs were met. We were on second floor and a lot of smokers congregated their, our room was non smoking but we had to walk throught the smog to get to our elevators. Location was great. Restaurant a little to expensive.

Wonderful Hotel.. Stayed here 2 years ago and was my favorite from our European tour! Great location, near the Museums, Damm Square, Heineken Brewery and wonderful rest. and coffee shops.
