Back to Jolly Hotel Carlton Great place to stay!! My wife and I stayed there, and love it! It's a little pricy, but our room was worth it. The Bloemenmarkt (flower market) is around the corner (there's a great little pancake cafe across from the flower market). The hotel is less than 1/2 mile away from Dam Square so you avoid the noisy summer crowd. We didn't visit any restaurants at or near the hotel. There's a supermarket at the other end of the flower market. The people at the front desk were not helpful or friendly.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 19 2007 A good hotel with a reasonable price Although the rooms are smaal, the hotel was clean and enough for a short stay in amsterdam. It was very close to both the old town and the city center, just besides the flower market.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 22 2006 A Perfect Hotel! We loved everything about The Holly Hotel Carlton in Amsterdam. It is very central with lots going on all around! We enjoyed the sounds of the city at night. We left our bedroom window open and enjoyed the noices drifting up from the streets below. Our room was overlooking the Bloemenmarket and a lovely canal. We hated to leave. Very clean, excellent service and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel!

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 14 2005 nice hotel, not the ritz Good solid hotel, very functinoal, we didnt spend much time their but when we did our needs were met. We were on second floor and a lot of smokers congregated their, our room was non smoking but we had to walk throught the smog to get to our elevators. Location was great. Restaurant a little to expensive.
