The internationally renowned Miyako Odori (the cherry blossom dance) takes place throughout the whole of April when local Gion geisha give traditional music and dance performances in the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo theater, next door to Gion Corner. There are performances at 12.30p, 2.00p, 3.30p and 4.50p, and they range in price from JPY1,900 to JPY4,300, which includes complementary green tea.
