The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico is the island's newest addition, and the museum has quickly become one of San Juan's most beautiful landmarks. While the exterior boasts 1920s neoclassical architecture, once inside visitors find a center of learning, a computer laboratory and a family gallery. The facility houses a grand collection of Puerto Rican-made paintings and sculptures. It continuously features temporary exhibitions and has a 400-seat amphitheatre. The Pikayo Restaurant provides dining facilities.

Contexto Puertorriqueño: Del Rococó Colonial al Arte Global is an exhibition of the latest works attained as a part of the permanent collection. This display is donated by Puerto Rican artists whose works represent the local art, the colonial era and the 17th century. The collection includes drawings, engravings, paintings, sculptures, carvings, installation art and ceramics.

Donación Colección Ángel Ramos y Tina Hills is an exhibition of 30 works donated by Ramos and Tina Hills from their private collection.
