Great mall for Puerto Rico
Despite the direct competition from Plaza Las Americas (a monstrosity of a mall rivaling New York and LA) Plaza Del Sol is a medium-sized mall with everything you need. The mobs of people are more manageable here than elsewhere in the San Juan metro area and the place has a modern feel to it. I like it because the movie theatre is rarely crowded and tickets prices are reasonable (currently $6 per adult). As with most theatres in Puerto Rico, you will have to endure 30 minutes of loud-volume commercials, with some movie trailers peppered in) before the movie starts. Like everywhere in the San Juan area, parking is a ****! Plan accordingly.
