Having a Birthday?
The people that you deal with to book a BD party were nice, and informative. However, when the date arrives, and you are there with 20 children...things seem to fall apart. The host they assigned was late with everything...children wanted to bowl at the assigned time...but couldn't til the host shows up. She explained she was busy. Pizza was late too...with some parents going to buy their own food to feed hungry kids. One nice offer (we thought) was a bowling pen that Bandera Bowl was offering to birthday child, which could be autographed by all those attending. Seemed so nice, and our child was really looking forward to having her friends sign it. However, we were told by the host as she presented the bill (only thing on time) that we could come back another day for the pin. Seems they were out of them. Was not the best experience, and when we reflected this with their clipboarded 'evaluation of service', we didn't get a cheerfull send-off.

Sooooooo much FUN!!
I went to Bandera Bowl after prom and again after our fine arts banquet. Both times I went, my friends and I had a blast! The employees were very polite... after our senior prom they gave us our shoes for free and gave us 10 coupons for free bowling. They played good music and it was just so much fun for us!! My experience was NOTHING like a lot of the reviews on here. Bandera Bowl is awesome!

This place is a dump and a joke
Girl at the counter was very snobby, was not interested in doing her job. She gave me and a buddy the total for 6 games and I asked her to separate the total and she just said "no you have to pay together..." we had to scrounge the cash together because we were both paying with debit. Asked for a lane with oil and she said "oh they all have oil"...... what a joke it was so dry it was pathetic and when we asked if we could have a lane with oil oil she said no there was a league coming. Nobody for leagues showed, and I know they were not starting anytime soon. Why not oil ALL the lanes instead of just a few, the lanes were in terrible shape from this and you could see the gunk on them. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO BANDERA BOWL.

New owners still a dump
Only way to really enjoy these lanes are to be in a league. The lanes during leagues usually have decent oil, the league prices are good, not too many sandbaggers, and most league bowlers are really cool. The only good thing the new owners have done is get liquor. They ran off the pro shop guy who was really cool and had reasonable prices. The TV's are too small to watch any games, the bathrooms are terrible, you will wait hours on the weekends to get a lane, the place is just plane run down. If you are just trying to bowl acouple games go early and have low expectations and this is the place for you. Don't get me wrong the leagues are fun, but other than that I only go during the day now. Nights and weekends forget about it, I won't waste my time.

What an experience!
This place was so much fun for my family! While the older ones were bowling, the younger ones were playing in the little arena and arcade games! We had so much fun and can't wait to go back!

Not happy
Every time we have gone to this bowling alley, the bowlers one side of us or sometimes on both sides are all taking in a group jumping up and down - taking our space and on our lane, going when it's not their turn and even talking in groups on the lane. They sometimes push each other around and come into our lane. It is very irriating and annoying. I think it would be helpful if the help there would look around sometimes and make announcements that only the bowler that is next to bowl is allowed on the lane.

Good Things Happening!
I have bowled on a league here for about 5 years now, and I will admit, some of the older reviews of the place are right on the money. BUT, I would encourage everyone to give it another chance, because the new owners have done wonders with it, and are really trying to make it a great place to bowl.

Staff and experience was great!!
I loved this place. The fact that most of the employees are young adults working while they either finish highschool or going to college is most impressive to me. Not only do my children have a great time, its nice to see an establishment looking out for our youths future. Managment and staff are wonderful. I wouldn't go anywhere else, where else can you find the same managment for so many years, consistency equals quality. Keep up the great work!!!

Fun for all ages
I liked the customer service. The atmosphere is enhanced with the wide open spaces and bright lighting. Bathrooms were clean and well equipped. Food was hot and deliverd in a timely manner. Food counter staff were helpful in suggesting bargain itmes vs trying to make a big sell. A great expierence.
