Reviewed by: Matthew from on Dec 21 2008 AMAZING! the service is good. the desserts are extraordinary, and the owner is so nice! the profiteroles are the best i've ever tasted and the cannolis are delicious. the coffee is always good and they have a great assortment of paninis and such for those looking for more than coffee and dessert.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 06 2008 Loved it! This was my first trip to the city and we happen to stop in for coffee and dessert. It was an excellent choice on our part. Being of Sicilian decent I was thrilled to have found such a wonderfully Sicilian atomsphere and menu. It was a bit crowded inside because they had as many tables and chairs inside as the space would allow, but the staff were fantastic as was the atomsphere and of course the food and coffee! I plan on going back the next time I am in town!
Reviewed by: Denise from on Nov 25 2007 Love the cannoli!! I had never been a big fan of Cannoli, until I tasted the ones at Cafe Palermo. They were shear heaven!!! The funny guy behind the counter made my trip--I saw a picture of Vinnie Parco hanging behind the counter and mentioned that I watch his show on Court TV. He immediately picked up his phone, called Vinnie, and let me talk to him on the phone!!! It was way cool!! A very pleasant side trip to Little Italy made even more special!!! Can't wait to go back next month, my mouth is watering at the thought of those cannoli!!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 14 2007 HOME SWEET HOME THE DESSERTS WERE FOR-GET-ABOUT-IT.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 01 2007 Can't wait to go back! The desserts were incredible! They were a bit pricey but worth the money. The cannoli was my favorite but my husband preferred the chocolate cannoli. We both enjoyed the cheesecake and tiramisu. Everything was fresh and the staff was super friendly!
Reviewed by: Jennifer from on Feb 12 2007 Will never return! We had a wonderful day in NYC with the exception of out stop at Cafe Palermo. Nothing about this cafe says Italian, from the interior design to the service to the food to the price. Our waitress was rude, but I suppose she is allowed to be since her tip was included in the tab. Most places only do this for large parties not a family of five. The desserts and coffee were mediocre and do not deserve the outrageous amount charged. There is no connection between value and price. If only we had walked a bit more we would have found an array of restaurants, who by-the-way display their menus outside. Cafe Palermo is in it strictly for the money.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 28 2006 Bachelorette Party Disappointment Well for starters the Antipasto didn't contain any lettuce....and it was overpriced. The pizza's were BLAH at best. We actually used some of the meat from the antipasto to make our panini sandwiches actually have some taste..... what a disappointing lunch on a near perfect day. To top it off - 11 of us ate and the bill was $266 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and we left starving !!! WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK.
