Back to Burgundy Room Ball-tearing good time! Great feel, loud rock sound track, funky, friendly girls and guys, and everyone is there for a good time. I was travelling through Hollywood alone and not knowing anyone. That changed pretty quickly at the Burgundy. Great spot for those seeking fun. It was awesome!!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! The people working there are cool and the patrons are very human. Make sure to pay Torrance (the door man) the respect he deserves as you enter, hopefully with your I.D. already ready for inspection. He's the cat's pajamas! The bar itself is small and can get pretty packed so don't visit unless the idea of touching people as you pass on the way to the restroom is a not problem! Drinks are moderately priced and the nightly D.J.'s play it LOUD! Not a great place to hold an intimate conversation... But if you can score the booth in the front, it's a nice dark place to snuggle up for some SHOUTED sweet nothings over 4 or 17 shots of Irish whiskey. Oh yeah! And the impromptu outdoor smoking area makes it possible for you to enjoy your beverage while you feed the cigarette monkey. By far my favorite place to hang out in L.A.!
Reviewed by: KERRYW from on Nov 26 2006 Great place to chill and have fun The first time i went to the Burgundy Room, i had a great experience which of course left me coming back for more. Its a TOTAL celebrity hot spot, they have a DJ spinning every night of the week playing good rock and roll tunes of all rock genres and decades. The drinks are of good pricing and the bar tenders are always on top of things. The door man is probably THEE coolest person you will meet down on Cahuenga in Hollywood !!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 11 2006 poor service bartenders are cranky and rude...this place is just another hollywood dive, all the punk rock reputation is way over-done, i have seen guys in suits here and industry girls along with the lonely loser drunks
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Don't go there looking to be seen--it's dark and crowded. Instead, relax and enjoy the music: it has one of the best sound-tracks to your hard-drinking in California. All of this right in the heart of Hollywood!
