Situated in a fine Georgian building opposite the Assembly Rooms, Woods offers excellent food in a warm, welcoming and informal atmosphere - with outside dining in fine weather. Woods has comfortable seating for 120 people. The restaurant is lofty and spacious, decorated with memorabilia, racing prints, and an abundance of large, glossy, healthy plants. It's best to linger over the meal here to truly appreciate the excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant benefits from a function room for private parties or corporate entertaining, and now offers outside catering. As well as an interesting evening menu they offer daily specials, including fresh fish, game and poultry, local meat and vegetables, and vegetarian dishes.
