Back to Cafe Annie Excellent Service and Good Food -just not enough. I've wanted to eat at Cafe Annie for a long time because of all I have heard about it. It maxes out on "stars" in virtually every review I've ever seen. And I have to say, the service ranked among the best I've ever had. Busboys in formal white uniforms even, and the rest of the staff exceptionally well trained. Our food was very good, but there just wasn't much of it and it was very expensive. I knew it was pricey going in, so I was prepared for that. But I left hungry. It's funny because we had decided as a couple to stop going to these restaurants where they pile on (literally) twice as much as you can possibly eat --and often more. We feel this trend has gotten ridiculous. But Cafe Annie was almost the other extreme. About half as much as you wanted and $25-$30 a piece. Apparently, the only review of the place that is anything less than stellar is THIS one, so maybe it's just me. But we feel like we've "been there and done that."
