Back to Calle del Cristo It was OK The atmoshere was neat you could combine sight seeing with some shopping. There wasn't a whole lot of outlet stores and the stores that were there were a little higher priced then the other outlets. Its pretty cramped the sidewalks are built for one and if your driving parking is limited and if you park in a ramp its expensive.

I am an avid shopper and traveler. Every time we go on a cruise, we make sure there is a stop in Old San Juan PR so we can run to Cristo St. I found out recently that almost all the street is owned by an investor from California in the name of Cherif Medawar. He brought in all these great retailers and he keeps maiking the area better and better. Now that's great investing for him and fantastic shopping for the rest of us :-)

Reviewed by: honey from on Jun 29 2007 A romantic setting! The street is in the heart of what's happening. Here is where you can be led to the Parque DePalomas (Pigeon Park). This park is where you can buy a bag of bird food that the pigeons know you have before you even open it up. They will land right on you and fight for the food. It looks like a scene from Hitchcock's "The Birds"! But don't worry, the birds are harmless, they won't hurt you...on purpose. I love to go there. But make sure you go when there is no or very few kids. The birds do not like large crowds of kids because tehy scare them away the minute they land each time. The street has a few restaurants on it that serve food to you either in the indoor setting or the outdoor setting and the food is delightful. I suggest it especially if you are honeymooners or just a romantic couple looking to feel the moment.
